An unexpected Voyage.....
We had a bit of an unexpected treat last night, Dave (mon fils) flew in for a business meeting and we had just enough time to catch up with him and enjoy a meal at Voyage Kitchen Cafe on the West Coast road. I've been here for breakfast and coffee a few times but not for dinner, very nice! The cosy relaxed atmosphere and no loud music was perfect for catching up on all the news from Sydney. A glass of cold white wine and a dish of tomato, oregano and bocconcini and Aimee and I were transported back to the isle of Capri, lovely! Anyway it's late so will catch up tomorrow, take care.. p.s. do we bloggers ever go anywhere without taking photos haha!

Oh yummy! Glad you have the blogging bug!
ReplyDeleteAloha
Love that dish: it looks so real!
ReplyDeleteThat looks insanely delicious and hope everyone had a great time! (Your blog will be a great visual diary of your days:)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place with good eats. No, we don't go anywhere without cameras and I do wish that my DH would get the bug, too, so I wouldn't be constantly embarrassing him!
ReplyDeleteI don't even bother to hide anymore when I take pics of plates! This one looks scrumptious and in delicious company!
ReplyDeleteLove that plate of food!
ReplyDeleteThat looks a fun place and good food! Not very often that we go somewhere really nice where I can photograph my food (unless you would like to see an occasional Big Mac - I confess). But, yes, always have my trusty camera with me....!
ReplyDeleteYou cannot be a decent blogger unless you have camera attached to hand 24/7. But you knew that.
ReplyDeleteI'd visit this food emporium any time. Would you say the food was as delicious as that found on the Isle of Capri?
You know I'm gonna be singing that song in my head the rest of the day! Thanks a lot!
Lovely place with even better looking food.
ReplyDeleteI for one rarely leaves home without my Canon. That food looks tasty. I spot a cute redhead in one photo. I am all for that sort of thing!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely company you had for this wonderful dinner! And, to answer your quesiton no, we bloggers take a camera everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYou picked the right place, Grace. The ambience is just the way I like it and the food is dazzling. Thanks to Dave for visiting and luring Aimee and you to this festive and tasty place.
ReplyDeleteHappiness inside.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Thursday.
Nice, and in answer to your probably rhetorical question, generally no.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a delicious time. My husband always gets crazy when I want to ale photos of food..
ReplyDeleteNice shots. That salad looks tasty!
ReplyDeleteYummo.

really a good day!
ReplyDeleteThat tomatoe salad looks scrumptious Grace. What a nice surprise for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteYou had a wonderful day I think, both your children and a nice diner. I am afraid bloggers always take a camera with them ,but I don't always use it, I sometimes just forget ha, ha.
ReplyDeletegreat genes.
ReplyDeleteI'll have what you're having...
ReplyDeleteoh what a lovely surprise ... and yes bloggers never go anywhere without 'cameras' fotos need taking/sharing ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice suprise! I bet it was nice having them together, if only for a short while. Looks like you picked a terrific spot.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace! This is re your comment on The Villages. No, I've never heard that flooding is a problem. It's a human-made lake and I do believe the system of locks we see in Lake Sumter Landing has something to do with water levels. I suppose that in a rainy hurricane things could change rapidly and you might get some water on the boardwalk.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great day!
Looks like a pleasant spot!
ReplyDeleteLooks very nice!:)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend !
Ready to dive into this salad. It looks scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteThe hair colour matches exactly with the colour of the tomatos, napkins and curtains - great! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIntention, coincidence or corporate identity??? ;-))
Uwe, hair streaked with grey.
