It was wonderful to see on the other side of the marina, along the seawall leading out to the lighthouse, that someone, maybe one of the regulars who fish here, had left a big bowl of milk and dish of food for the many feral cats that call the cracks and crevices along the wall home, poor wee creatures. Hope that you're enjoying your weekend, happy Monday, take care..p.s there were about half a dozen drops of rain, I counted them.....!

When you live in a perpetually sunny and warm climate, the sight of storm clouds is always welcome. You captured a great looking sky in the first shot. I'm glad there are kind people to take care of the cats.
ReplyDeleteI hate wind! It's windy and cold here this morning! Yuk. Love the 2nd shot - a fine composition and it is nice that someone cares enought to give the little felines a bit of sustenance.
ReplyDeleteI don't like wind, but it makes wonderful sea landscapes , and carries great clouds, for fabulous pictures!I like that kind of mood!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't like the wind either, but the beach is gorgeous and I do love the wild surf and dramatic clouds! Terrific captures for the day, Grace! And it is good to know that there are those looking out for the kitties!! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIf your blog mission is to make me want to visit Perth, you're fulfilling it.
ReplyDeleteI love such weather at the sea shore...
ReplyDeletePierre
Beautiful images of a strong wind.
ReplyDeleteNice touch leaving the cups milk and food for stray cats.
Hugs and kisses.
Great shots Grace....first one is very good.
ReplyDeletegreetings, Joop
Very dramatic skies in the first shot!
ReplyDeleteThat top shot is really, really nice! I can feel that wind :). Count the drops....ha ha!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular 1st shot, Grace! Poor kitties - nice people help them out a bit.
ReplyDeleteSummer's really going out with a bang this year, isn't it?! And call me cruel, but I'd probably have more sympathy for feral cats if they didn't kill native birds and wildlife ...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Grace! Is your summer winding down?
ReplyDeleteWe are heading towards the 'official' end of summer Cheri, but March can sometimes be a killer month as well, it's not really all over until April for sure!

DeleteIt sure does look different, that's for sure. Down here, it rained for two days and after one normal day, today it was 20 degrees colder than usual and there is a risk of a frost overnight. The people are dressed like it is the Arctic . . .
ReplyDeleteThank you for counting the rain, tons over here during the weekend. Said to be better during the following days. Yes, many cats living in the streets over here as well. Please have a good new week.
ReplyDeleteOh, you just made me think of how exciting stormy days could be, when there's just been a stretch of overbaked weather. I hope there aren't too many days to count down:)
ReplyDeleteYou've really been having it hot over there Grace! I adore the second photo and I nearly cried over the milk and food for the cats and I don't even like cats much.
ReplyDeleteSeems it was even too windy for kite flying!
Beautiful beach.
ReplyDeleteA choppy sea to be sure Grace ... Don't our life guards do a great job.
ReplyDeleteThat would make a nice change Grace! Bracing would be my description for it. Back to sun for you now you lucky devil.
ReplyDeletecare for the wee one's

I'm glad you got to breathe! A sky like this one is so photogenic, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI like the structure of the modern lighthouse!I also like the stone wall, the perspective, the texture of the stones!
ReplyDeleteLéia
great photos and there is nothing worse than getting hit by sand.
ReplyDeleteWell that is a change to have some different weather than sunshine. Sweet some people feed the cats.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Grace. I also could almost count the rain drops on Sunday, it finished as quickly as it started!
ReplyDeleteI loved the last couple of cooler days .. I think I actually shivered yesterday! But the tiles were still so warm from the heatwave it was like we had underfloor heating :)
ReplyDeleteOnly a couple of spits here in the hills too ...
Hoping for rain soon. Back to warmer weather soon :(
Lovely pics
it was very cold/windy here on Sunday ... today its just bitter cold but even tho the skies are brilliant blue i am not going out unless i absolutely have to ... today with no work, closed for Presidents Day, a sloth is what i am
ReplyDeleteIt's been quite windy here the past few days too. It's no fun getting sandblasted, is it?
ReplyDeleteAlways nice with a change in the weather!
ReplyDeleteFantastic sky on the top shot!
ReplyDeleteI would have been afraid to expose my camera lens to all that flying sand!
ReplyDeleteI hope your camera is sealed well from the sand, but your photos are GREAT.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous captures!

The following time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as
ReplyDeletethis one. I imply, I know it was my option to read, however I
truly thought youd have one thing interesting
to say. All I
hear is a bunch of whining about something that
you possibly
can repair when you werent too busy searching for attention.

ReplyDeleteA
lot of times it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and appearance. I must say
you've done a amazing job with this. Additionally,
the blog loads extremely fast for me on Internet explorer.
Outstanding Blog!
