The good thing about jelly fish.....!

Although it's a fabulous sight to see hundreds of jelly fish floating around together in a lit up tank, it's not at all easy to photograph them well..but it does give you a great excuse to have a bit of fun and play around a bit! I went with my sister and great nephew (that's his cheeky little face you can see below) to watch my brother in law Bill dive with the sharks at Aqua World, will show more and give links tomorrow,  I haven't had time to edit properly yet. They really are the most ethereal creatures floating and changing shapes continually, as you can see it was a favourite spot for us all! Hope your week has begun well, take care.....

  4. Plenty of them around here, and not in aquariums...
Something strange happened... You commented on my museum exit, but when I tried to publish the comment, a message popped up, saying' this comment does not exist'... First time this happens.

  10. Smashing fun!
Don't think you realize how good you are; but that is the pleasantest thing about you, you're not all "look at me" but relaxed, companionable - a good friend even over the Web! So glad we've met

  18. Let me just say that shot of your nephew is quite something! I know what you mean by trying to capture the jellyfish on camera. It's not easy and yet that second shot is fantastic. Really love it. I would frame that...it's quite magical and inspiring. We have a place like this up in Phoenix and it might be a good excuse to get out and explore the northern regions of my state this weekend.....although it is a bit hot to our north. Hotter than we are right now:) Hope you had a great Monday.

  20. Jellyfish do have a haunting beauty but I'd be happy to be on the other side of thick glass from them. The boy looks cute as can be in that picture.

  22. Nice colours, but here it's illegal to throw kids into aquariums, sadly.

  23. Fantastic photos Grace. The colour creates an eerie drama. I can just about see them floating and morphing around the tank entrancing the visitors with their magic.

  37. These are such fascinating creatures! Due to global warming, our beaches are being invaded by one of the most dangerous jelly fish, the Portuguese Man o'War, which I've only spotted in Mexico. Sharks have also been spotted, but the experts say those are harmless. Fantastic shots!
