We're back to the blustery, cold, rainy weather and it's hard to believe that just a few days ago it was sunny and 23C. People talk about the weather in Melbourne being so changeable, you can experience the full spectrum all in one day they say..well I have news for you, that happens here in Perth also, in fact I suspect it may happen all over Australia! I love the coast when the clouds and the 'big blue' do battle in the sky, today the clouds were the victors! As I'm typing this the wind is howling outside my window..nice! I took these shots today from Sorrento looking down the coast to Scarborough.
The houses you see are the coastal suburbs of
Sorrento and a little further down
Marmion, this is the coast walk that Aimee and I do regularly. If you look a little closer you'll see a solitary, hardy soul striding along the beach and I do believe she is even wearing shorts, good on her! How fast has this week gone, or is that just mine! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe.....
Wonderful, stormy skies and what terrific captures, Grace!! Love the beach and the whitecaps! Thank you for the birthday wishes and kind words!! They are appreciated! I'm very fortunate that aside from crappy knees, I'm in very good health! Hope you have a beautiful weekend! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sky, Grace, and great title too!
ReplyDeleteHour-to-hour weather must be a coastal thing, we get it here on the British Columbia "Sunshine Coast" also. Great vistas!
ReplyDeleteFabulous place for a walk, gorgeous skies, fantastic pictures !
ReplyDeleteWolken und Meer im Einklang, ist das toll!
ReplyDeleteLieben Gruß

I'll take the good guys!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies - even though the dark clouds are winning! I love walking on the beach, but not when it is cold and blustery! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteNow you know what? So much more interesting than plain blue! And look at the bright side: you're heading towards spring!
ReplyDeleteYep, we are having loads of changeable weather at the moment, but I can sense an end approaching. Not if I stick my head out the window, though. Only by the calender on the fridge ...
ReplyDeleteVictoria has Sorrento too! A holiday resort as well. Just that this place is now a place exclusive for rich people :(
ReplyDeleteWonderful blue ridden photos of the beach :)
Great skies. Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Nice bluey hues. Is this during early morning or no?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to those cool winter storms:)I get excited seeing the grey skies here. It's so dry that any rain we get is fantastic. Have fun this weekend and wishing you many adventures:)
ReplyDeleteEven in blustery weather, your photos look beautiful - the shots are so atmospheric. Thank you for this end-of-week boost! Hope you've a beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour first photograph is spectacular, Grace. The sky is dramatic and in a way echoes the beach and ocean below.

ReplyDeleteWe are having that this evening.
ReplyDeleteI wanna be there!
ReplyDeleteThough the clouds are winning, I can still appreciate the sky. Great shots by the way.
ReplyDeleteA dramatic sky.
ReplyDeleteI love walking on the beach...Felt like I was there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast in the sky! The top shot is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. Great composition and leading lines in the first shot.
ReplyDeleteIncredible shots. What dramatic changes.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Your coastline is spectacular. Reminds me a bit of Florida's east coast, except we have lots of highrises. :(
ReplyDeleteRe your comment on The Villages: I really have no idea what "poo" referred to but was afraid to ask! Someone might have said that was a crappy question! :-)
Great place and great sky. Love long walks on beaches.
