Another one of those 'it's good to look up now and then moments', although I think this jumbo sized old can used for
Carbonell oil sitting atop The Overflow Caffe and Lounge on Lake Street in Northbridge would be just a tad hard to miss. I couldn't find a decent link for The Overflow but apparently 72% of the people who've been there give it the thumbs up, so the odds of having a good meal are fairly reasonable, maybe one day I'll find out for myself! Here we are at the beginning of a new week, I have a feeling that our Olympians will be glad when it's all over, but I say 'Good on them' and watch out next time haha!! Have a great week, take care and stay safe.....
What a fun one! I'd definitely like to give this place a try!! Fun shots for the day! We're finally having summer here in Seattle and it is HOT -- not for many places in the world, but when you haven't had over 80 degrees for over two years, 90+ is way too hot!! Even Sam is protesting!! Hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteNow that olive oil (spanish: aceite) is a looooong way from home, si senor!
ReplyDeleteEin schönes Monument, so eine große Blechdose...

Funny big tin! Arianna
ReplyDeleteRight, hard to miss! And I am pretty sure I have seen that label on the grocery store shelves over here.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you looked up! I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed that. :)
ReplyDeleteI was walking the road one day with my head down looking for coins. In the course of eight hours, I found 4 pennies, 1 dime, a beat-up quarter, and a slug. Then I decided to go home. As I lifted my head, a huge can fell on top of me. I can't get up 'cause I'm covered in olive oil and I just slide from one side of the road to the other.
ReplyDeleteCan you help? It's getting dark. And I hear Roos like olive oil.
I promise I'll start looking up instead of down in the future!
That's what I call a big beautiful box!
ReplyDeleteFascinating and quircky looking building. I bet the meals are as interesting. Definitely a place to check out.
ReplyDeleteThe Olympics end and work begins again starting tomorrow. I think it's good to have a job because it forces me to leave the house during these hot days:)
I think they should all be given medals for just qualifying in the games. The stress for them to win a gold is unbelivable and gets harder and harder
ReplyDeleteIt is the history and the unique look of the sign that really depicts the era when we were all different from.
ReplyDeleteGood documentary to show the corners of the society we live in
Oh my, that is a big can! Lowell's comment above had me laughing out loud.
ReplyDeleteMucha!

Liquid gold.
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful new week ahead.
Sounds to me a lot of dead wood needs to be chopped out of the Aussie Olympic team and officals the sooner the better no excuses, then start rebuilding straight away.
ReplyDeletewow I love this olive oil, and the sign is huge!
ReplyDelete*We are still in Brazil enjoying some time with our family.
hugs

That can looks very precariously perched to me! I love Lowell's comment.
ReplyDeleteThe can really stands out. But, I wonder why they chose to use that sign?
ReplyDeleteNow that is worth looking up for! I don't know the brand, but the picture seems awfully familiar - probably a sign of the power of advertising!
ReplyDelete(Btw, loved your comment about a shot from one of my evening walks looking like the wild moors, somehow - now I'll think of Heathcliff each time I take that route! :)
Trust you to look up? Sure can!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the painting on the old tin ... I guess a lot of people would miss it ... Pays to look up Grace.
ReplyDeleteI am not an Olympics fan, in good times or poor. I am just certain that I do not want more money dedicated to winning medals. I want hospitals, and schools and infrastructure ...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you showed the building because I like how it's so big above it. I wonder if they use that olive oil!
ReplyDeletenice idea!
ReplyDeleteI am sure they will give you a free lunch any day!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting thing on top of the building! I agree - it would be hard to miss. Have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive can!
ReplyDeleteNot an Olympic guys; no time for all the hype. I got livin' to do.
ReplyDeletenice can ... were the olympics on? ha ..
ReplyDeleteOh, I was gonna tell you that I spent so much time at work looking at your job, I got "canned." Wait, I don't have a job. I can't get "canned." Some jokes never work!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat’s one big oil can and definitely hard to miss.
ReplyDeleteAny place with a large ol' can on top, I'll definitely go inside. Have a great week too! (I can't wait for friday lol)
ReplyDeleteWhat an unexpected find, Grace!
