I'm trying something new when downloading, so fingers crossed! Loved the three sculptures here snapped as we were leaving Sculpture by the Sea, excellent link, Loved the quirkiness of the sculpture above and below titled 'Gotcha!' by Danish sculptor Helle Rask Crawford. 'Gotcha depicts a frog prince who has just caught a fairy. What will ensue? Only the two of them will know.' Conversation overheard between little fellow in pic and his dad.. 'dad he's not going to eat her is he?' Dad, 'no he's just giving her a kiss' .. too cute :)
Below 'Reflecting' by WA artist Jill Smith. 'The Earth..it's life , energy and meaning is in part a collection of actions. The choice begins as a thought'.. It does indeed!
'Heads it is' below by WA artist Paul Caporn is 'an unmonumental monument pointing to the idea that the way we memorialise and celebrate our great moments and people in history requires a rethink in these current times'.. Personally I feel the way we live our lives needs a major rethink in many areas going forward into the future!
There are so many sculptures to show but think I will hold on those until we get back to take sunset shots, love doing that! Can't believe this post went so well, was determined not to let the computer gremlins win :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..
They are a marvel to see.

Good thing you have tamed your computer. Another collection of great sculptures. The Fairy and Frog Prince is great, and the Heads It Is are wonderful. Need to reflect on reflections.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great answer from the father! Appears everything posted just fine, and what a gorgeous day you had to view and share these wonderful sculptures! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI really like Reflecting, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThe frog and the fairy is really special. Great exhibition.
ReplyDeleteThe sculptures are beautiful and creative.
ReplyDeleteThese were worth waiting for! I especially like the three figures up on the cliff.
ReplyDeleteReflecting is quite striking.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ... Wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteLove the Gotcha sculpture the most. Instead of a dragonfly he caught a fairy and that Dad's explanation to his kid is genial!
Hugs,
Mariette
I admired them with pleasure, miss it so much to visit an exhibition or a museum...
ReplyDeleteNonono, Grace, no "fini"!
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet is the first entry! (and another Popo, it haunts me, eh?!).
Kisses are always good. My King Frog got whacked by Peanut. Poor fella, a kiss would´ve been nicer..
"Reflecting" is beautiful! And yes, we need to rethink a lot.
Waiting for more!
Belas esculturas, gostei de ver.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

So many great sculptures Grace. I'll post some of mine with the March Wrap-up
ReplyDeleteThese sculptures were great. Who doesn’t love fairies?
ReplyDeleteThere is huge controversy here about a statue of the first Canadian prime minister. I love how the artist depicted that last monument!
Unes escultures molts belles i sorprenents !. La de la granota és especialment curiosa...potser son un príncep i una princesa encantats i amb el petó es desfarà l'encant !...qui sap ?.
ReplyDeleteSalut :)
There is so much to see at this event. These are all great sculptures. I especially like "Reflecting". Each one gives something to think about and recognize.
