Ever changing skies..

A few pics taken in and around Elizabeth Quay last Wednesday all within half an hour, hard to imagine the sky could look so different in every shot! Above the Bell Tower below sharing space with its new neighbour the Ritz-Carlton opening later this year..

Below the sculpture First Contact pointing up to the memorial atop Kings Park..

Man's best friend heading out to sea.. it was as if he sensed me trying to get a shot, he turned and jumped out of sight before I could get a close up :)

Remember the giant numbat here..  below is how it looks from way across the Swan River at Elizabeth Quay. When it is joined by the giant frilled-neck lizard I can see it will be quite a sight when on the ferry crossing to South Perth..

Two of my fav Art Deco buildings en-looped behind the Spanda sculpture. The four storey Atlas Building c1931 on the left and the Lawson Apartments c1937 on the right 💙

One last shot of the strange bedfellows below :) Hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as I am.. we had a birthday picnic for my sister in Kings Park yesterday and two festivals on the agenda for today, one that looks like this 🌷 and the other like this 🌸 Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..

  6. I've been waiting for these photos of the new buildings and I am not so sure that high rise is appropriate so close to the quay.
