Have I mentioned how much I am enjoying my new 12- 200 mm lens? Yesterday was the most perfect spring day, blue skies and a crisp breeze.. while walking along the South side of the Swan River looking over the river to the top of Kings Park I spotted walkers crossing the bridge through the tree tops, remember that Andrew, the views are amazing from up there..
Below the State War Memorial, which you have seen many time from much closer.. em, you might have to embiggen :)
Even the giant boab below that made the incredible 3,200 km trip (good story) down from the Kimberley eleven years ago was glowing pink in the spring sunshine..
Last shot is where I took the pics from, if you look atop the The Old Brewery to the right you can see the bridge. Will show more shots from this walk tomorrow, taken with the same lens, hope you enjoyed.. happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
Beautiful scenes! I would enjoy that treetop bridge.
ReplyDelete...lovely, but a lens is NEVER long enough.
ReplyDeleteThat bridge looks wonderful, Grace! Looks like a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteWow you are a real photographer! Always pleasant rambling with you, mon ami
ReplyDeleteI love that bridge among the tree tops. A new lens is always welcomed. :)
ReplyDeleteNew lens...what fun!
ReplyDelete(To answer your question, the S'Klallam do not particularly have opiod problems. Long story, but for historic reasons they were never confined to a reservation like other Native Americans; because of this they have integrated more fully and had more opportunities than typical Tribes that were marginalized. The proposed healing center is another of their economic initiatives.)
Wonderful photos. That sounds like a great lens... can cover most everything! I have a 100-400mm telephoto that I love, but I need to carry it as a second lens (along with my 17-35mm wide angle) and it's extremely heavy!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun playing with a new camera. Great shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThis bridge over the trees seems wonderful. It must be an experience to walk there
ReplyDeleteA new lens, what fun. Love your first shot with the two little folk in red with white hats walking through the tree tops.
ReplyDeleteI remember it all vividly and it is interesting to see the park from the southern side of the river. While mentioning to R yesterday about the different times of spring in our respective cities, I was telling him about about the gorgeousness of the flowers in the park.
ReplyDeleteYou got some amazing shots. I'd say the lens is a keeper. What a view from that vantage point.
ReplyDeleteFunny how you mention the tree top walk now, Grace. Ingo still has two tickets from last year for the darn carousel "high up" waiting for us!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and that all with one lens. How convenient.
ReplyDeleteI really like that glass bridge in Kings Park Grace. Great photos, have a lovely weekend
ReplyDeleteUm belo passeio e aproveito para desejar um bom fim-de-semana.

This looks lovely! And a boab? From Kimberley? I have to read that story.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin lives in Attadale, is that anywhere near you?
Wonderful scenes :)
