This isn't what I had intended to post today but yesterday was such a beautiful spring day I had to share. The early morning hike didn't eventuate, instead brunch followed by a walk along the beach front. The ice-cream van parked along the beach is a welcome sight and more often than not a 99 flake occasion 💙
Anyone who knows me knows that my all time go to for breakfast/brunch is poached eggs, toast and coffee.. but not yesterday! Yesterday at Doric St Cafe + Kitchen in Scarborough I ordered nasi goreng (super fun Jamie Oliver link) and it was amaaaazing! It could be the start of a whole new adventurous moi 😉 Hope you had/are still having a fab weekend, take care and stay safe..
...thanks for the heads up 99 flake, that new to me. WOW what an egg!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beach. The ice cream and breakfast look delicious.
ReplyDeleteFotos deliciosas, aproveito para desejar um bom Domingo.

Newer heard of the 99 flake but my wife has. That's a mean looking cone. :)
ReplyDeleteThe breakfast looks good and of course the beach is the place to be. :)
Gosh did I miss fried rice for breakfast while I'm the continent!!!
ReplyDeleteWas on.
DeleteI never heard of a 99 Flake either. We had poached eggs for brunch today. My go-to for brunch usually has smoked salmon in some form so I had it with the eggs today!
ReplyDeleteWho can pass up ice cream?
ReplyDeleteLunch looks delicious! That blue sky is striking!
ReplyDeleteThat breakfast tempts me more than the ice cream! lol
ReplyDeleteSlept in did we. Much as I love it I couldn't do nasi goreng before lunch time.
ReplyDeleteBon appetit! Looks scrumptious!
ReplyDelete99 flake! Nasi goreng! Your blog is filled with new wonders (& pretty pix). I wonder: did you eat the nasi with chop sticks?
ReplyDeleteOh, Grace, the world is a small place - I had Bami Goreng yesterday (and today, and probably even tomorrow ;-).... they make huge portions here as take-away) - easier to eat with chopsticks I think but both is yummy!
ReplyDeleteAh, the ocean, keep posting pics, please!
P.S Jamie Oliver :-) A grown up kid! Very cute.
ReplyDeleteI say, time by the sea is time well spent & a little Jamie Oliver cuiisine is just the icing on the cake.....so to speak.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling hungry now.
ReplyDeleteNever heard about a 99 flake. But in our grocery store you can find now chocolate ice cake's under the name Vienna's decorated with bars that look remarkable on your 99 flake.
ReplyDeleteLove the sunshine. We are having another cold spell here ... cold and windy.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures from Perth. I was never there, i am from "up there" Germany.
ReplyDeleteRegards Bernhard
You are living the good life! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever had Nasi Goreng, will have to try it.
ReplyDeleteWe had some ice-cream too as soon as we arrived at Kings Park yesterday.
I had an ice cream yesterday too.....but it wasn’t in that beautiful setting. Gonna have to research that brunch dish.....Back in Texas and the temps are still in the triple digits...ugh...
ReplyDeleteNot bad to see these pictures. A delicious ice cream, good food and sunny weather.
ReplyDeleteI think life is well. And I must work these days....hmmmm....!!
Enjoy of it.
Best regards,
Marco
A very beautiful promenade. The ice cream looks delicious.

ReplyDeleteOh! Ice-cream! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to eat it at there!
And the 3rd shot is my favorite. :)
