We usually drive when we visit the country town of Toodyay but for a change yesterday we took the train. Taking off from the East Perth Train Station on the Avon Link at 8.50am, arriving at Toodyay Station above and below at 10.20. The train continued on it's way...
... and picked us up five hours later on it's way back to Perth. It was a super comfortable trip through the picturesque Avon Valley and I would highly recommend it..
I'll show you what we did in those five hours tomorrow but there's one thing for sure.. I'm pretty rubbish at taking photos from a fast moving train 😉 Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
Great train trip Grace, and the train looks very modern. Will have to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded a bit of our LRT train here, in terms of the design.
ReplyDelete...that one neat train.
ReplyDeleteModern, exciting! Nice shots, G
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like pure joy to me. I so wish we had a good train system here in the states. I'd be off on an adventure every weekend.
ReplyDeleteI always find a train ride so relaxing and fun!
ReplyDeleteSometimes so relaxing to take the train and not the car and here in the netherlands to wave to the traffic jam.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there will be some pretty scenery photos. I don't remember seeing a WA country train. Very smart.
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother always took my sisters and I on the train to Boston when I was a kid. I love trains, a fun and relaxing way to travel...and to take photos too. :)
ReplyDeleteTrains have come a long ways since the days of the steam egines!
ReplyDeleteI really like it! thanks for taking us with you too!
ReplyDeleteTruly Awesome
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great way to travel.
ReplyDeleteThat is a swish looking train and must move faster than our trains because I don't generally have a whole lot of trouble getting photos from them.
ReplyDeleteYou have nice modern trains there, it is very comfortable travelling this way.
ReplyDeleteIn Perth area I´m not "afraid" of trains, always tidy and all - very unlike here unless it´s an ICE.
ReplyDeleteWell, that last pic is a great excuse for more trips, no, Grace ;-)
Sou um apaixonado por comboios.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

I'm rather addicted to train rides - which is probably just as well as I don't drive and live somewhere with a very limited bus service! Taking photos from a train is indeed tricky but I rather like the one you've shown us here which has a lovely impression of speed.
ReplyDeleteThe last shot I love.
ReplyDeleteThe sight seeing from trains is very interest anytimes!
Did you travel today, to Toodyay? lol
