.. or just another hole in the wall? I've managed to resist the last few times, but this time I failed :) While at Art Gallery WA to see a new exhibition not only was the hole in the wall still there, but the sign below.. lol, cracked me up. I so wish I had caught someone with their hand in the hole, that would have been the icing on the cake :) I'll show you the exhibition tomorrow but if I made you smile today, my job is done 😄Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

ReplyDeleteTo me you could label the whole thing 'Infrastructure Repair Gone Wrong' and someone would be gullible enough to pay a million bucks for it.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny Grace :)
ReplyDelete...it is if you want it to be!
ReplyDeleteIt gave me a giggle! ;-))
ReplyDeleteart or not, anyway you made me smile...
ReplyDeleteLol. Big grin here, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a hangmans noose over a dirty mark LOL Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteYou have absolutely made me smile! In fact, you made me think about an exhibit I saw at MoMA in NY that had me saying (under my breath of course) is that really art?
ReplyDeleteNow that's funny. They should put a frame around it and call it "a hole in the wall with noose". :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not art to me …
ReplyDeleteBut it made me smile, thank you, :)
All the best Jan
I'm not impressed with the "art", but your post made me smile (thank you!!).
ReplyDeleteI would think that the sign would just make it that much more tempting!
ReplyDeleteYou succeeded with my smile. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that this is the artistic work of an electrician. But that's probably why I'm not a professional art critic.
Yes, you got me to smile. Is it art? I have no idea, but it sure makes one think and react, so perhaps it is.
ReplyDeleteLoved your post :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Grace, this cracks me up for sure! Bummer! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that "hole" in our cabin´s wall is still there, too!
Ok. Taking your recent advise I am trying to understand what the artist is trying to convey. I’ve tried and I still don’t get it but enjoyed the laugh.
ReplyDeleteits amazing what some galleries show. Love the sign.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the good and very helpful information. It is very interesting. I love all the things you share and see your beautiful creation.

The last photo gives the secret away. Its a big hole.
ReplyDeleteArt can be.... well... complicated.... or not! Just when I thought I'd seen it all!

You think that's just a simple hole in the wall, but that hole in the wall conveys the anguish of the artist, and the ragged edges suggest the fragility of mankind surviving in the changeable world, in contrast with the smooth metallic curves of the bit of leftover water piping that signifies the industrial revolution that is being overcome with technology..... or something like that. I wish I could see what's inside.
ReplyDeleteCurious and strange way of art :) Arianna
ReplyDeleteYou absolutely did make my day! I do enjoy seeing these kinds of art up close and personal and trying to understand just what all they were thinking, but mostly what I'm thinking! Love it when there's a friend or two along just to see all of our reactions! Very fun.
ReplyDeleteAhhh well! Don’t you just love what some people call art? I remember exhibits featuring toilets and such...
