There is so much building work going on in the city I'm beginning to wonder if
it will ever be fini! One huge bonus for the cafes on Hay Street is
the influx of hungry construction workers looking for grub.. all that constructing builds up the appetite:) In this one little spot alone on Hay street the workers in their orange jackets above in Shafto Lane seen enjoying Gami Chicken. Below Jean Pierre Sancho Patisserie to the left and to the right Saigon Vietnamese and Asian food..
.. and, if you fancy an ale to wash down your pub grub, and a lot of them did, there's the Belgian Beer Cafe below. Can't say Perth isn't cosmopolitan right! Personally I would have been all over a coffee and ham and cheese croissant in Jean Pierre but then I'm not a construction worker :) Happy Thursday, take care and say safe..
I'd be inclined to venture into the patisserie.
ReplyDeleteNeat spot, I love that alley way between the buildings as a lane way!
ReplyDelete...yep, hungry construction workers have different tastes.
ReplyDeleteWhat to eat, what to eat? Choices! I’d like to try all of it, over time, of course.
ReplyDeleteNice to able to pick a new place every day.
ReplyDeleteI saw quite a lot of those orange jackets while I was in New York City. It really is amazing the amount of construction that goes on around the world. A good variety of eating establishments is a must.
ReplyDeleteThe shoping quarter looks really nice. Would love to see the food. Many greetings.
ReplyDeleteFor a second when I saw your first pic I thought you had braved the flight and gone to France! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great street scene!
ReplyDeleteLots of choices for a meal. Try a new place each day, not a bad way to start and see what's good. A crowded street is definitely good for business.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Perth is wonderful. I often think for a moment (as with these photos) that they are somewhere in Europe. You live in a very cosmopolitan city but also artful and so inviting!
ReplyDeleteNotice the brick walk way.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Something for everyone. Sounds like a perfect spot. I'd have trouble deciding where to go. Patisserie? Vietnamese?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Street photos
ReplyDeleteOh, Grace!!! How can you do this?! A ham and cheese croissant! Awww... I.Want!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a funny thing. When you tell people here that construction workers go have a beer in a pub for lunch no one believes you!
A)... beer whilst working times??? B) Too expensive in a pub!
Construction workers here have their lunch in a box and a bottle of water. Or coke, maybe.
I think I´ll apply for that job in February ;-)
It sounds really great to try everything to compare it with home.
ReplyDeleteParece um lugar muito agradável.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

Construction usually brings with it a flurry of activity. Glad there are places for these workers to try out.

GDP
It looks a pretty city with a lot to choose for a drink or more.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd love to enjoy a beer out on the sidewalk with those handsome construction guys!
ReplyDeleteI would need a few days to sample all those wonderful ethnic restaurants. How bland our food would be without so many different dishes to sample!
ReplyDeletePerth has a great choice of eateries indeed.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to the belgiam beer café
ReplyDeleteI order a beer for you?
The one thing that I miss living in the country is the choice of restaurants from differnt countries, but I could never live in a town either. South Africa has such a wide choice and one of the things I really do miss from there apart from just missing Africa ❤👍 Take care and have a great weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteI love your photographs here Grace …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Food and beer are great, of course, and not to be underrated but I'm really liking the young man, in photo 3, with really long hair and an umbrella :D :D :D
ReplyDeletewow! looks like a lot of food options. And cool that there is such a thing as a Beer Cafe. I've never seen that before. I'm not really one for beer but I like seeing new kinds of places
