Very frustrating week of computer blackouts solved with new WiFi thingy, mouse and keypad. I suspect it was the WiFi thingy, technical term :) that was the problem but am happy with the extras.. good to be back in business! The last time you saw above and below shots of 'The Desert Island' here, was at daybreak, we returned to Cottesloe beach and Sculpture by the Sea for sunset shots and after a dusky start the sky put on a splendiferous show that was a joy to behold. Like many of you I too was worried about how this installation might effect the birds, but apart from one confused seagull below hundreds, possibly thousands, of birds were more interested in finding their digs for the night in the tall trees along the beach, the noise was astounding! Two more days and the beach will be pristine and free of sculptures once more. I have to do a bit of a catching up, bear with me! Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..
Beautiful. That third shot is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteKeeping the fingers crossed!
Stunning reflections and a wonderful last shot, Grace !
ReplyDeleteSpectacular photos, I see a lot of reflections! Very nice done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sculpture, grace. I love all the shots but the one with the seagull with an identity crisis, is my favorite. Have a great day. Jo
ReplyDeleteWhen I see that last shot it makes me wonder why we need art installations at all, the natural world manages beauty just fine on its own. That's one narcissistic seagull though!
ReplyDeleteGlorious! Impressive!
ReplyDeletethese pictures of distorting mirrors are very beautiful. I'm glad your computer problems are solved, and delighted to find these images of sculptures by the sea. I like the seagull in front of the reflection
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous sky, Grace! There must have been thousands of pics taken in front of those mirrors!
ReplyDeleteGlad the computer is working!
...fabulous shots!!!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the third one!
ReplyDeleteFantastic sunset. Our birds are daft!! With all the rain the windows are not clean and they still fly into them!!!! Our WiFi has also been acting up this past week!! Enjoy your Sunday, Diane
ReplyDeleteThe seagull thinks it has found its life soulmate. Very spectacular sunset.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos, Grace. The seagull is having a few words with himself. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and reflections on this beach. You had a great day with your camera.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the sky Grace. Oh, there were reflections too. Glad you got your PC working.
ReplyDeleteThat last photograph is superb! I'd much prefer that those beach installations did not exist. I don't see that they add anything to the beach experience, but detract from what the beach is all about and exist mainly for the glorification of the artists. But that's just me. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my to walk into that sunset! Lovely. The art reflections are very fun too, and everyone seems to be enjoying it as well!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of having these art installations on the beach where everyone has a chance to enjoy them, but I'm also glad they are temporary.
ReplyDeleteI like those sculptures, your photos make me want to have a really good look and study each one.
ReplyDeletePigion looks like he possible found a friend with in him self
ReplyDeleteTruly Amazing. Brilliant clicks.
ReplyDeleteThat really is a truly brilliant sculpture and you've captured it very well. The sunset is gorgeous and the confused seagull is quite humorous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics, Grace, but the seagull sure makes my day :-)
ReplyDeleteSo sad it´ll be over so soon again!
Oh, do I hate PC-problems, too!
Os espelhos fazem um belo efeito visual.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom Domingo.
