Last week-end here on Langley Park we were sipping champagne and leisurely enjoying the French festival, yesterday it was a whole different ball game! You're going to have to pull the first three shots in to see what made me put them in sequence like this.. Check out the lady with the camera who starts the run just under the red cloud in the first shot and follow her exuberance through to the third and it will give you some idea of the fun thousands of Perthites participated in yesterday morning. Described as 'the happiest run in the world' the Colour Run never disappoints on any level.. the participants have the best fun and even though a for-profit event a large proportion of the money raised goes to charity, it's a win win!
I took so many photos trying to edit them was 'doing my head in' so I've picked out a few that I hope will give you an idea of the fun atmosphere.. as you can see I saved my favourite shot for last :) I know Aimee will agree with me when I say thank goodness the weekend is over.. we had a little bit too much fun! Happy Monday, take care and stay safe...
A great and funny event, ha, Grace ?
ReplyDeleteThe last photo is my favourite :)
Oh, how fun indeed!! I do love your photos and particularly the one of Aimee!!! Thank you so much for sharing the fun!! Hope you have a great new week!!
ReplyDeleteThere was a run here at 1 AM this morning to celebrate daylight savings time ending. The runners started and then ended in a time before they started if you get my drift. It was raining but there were still lots of smiles!
ReplyDeletedat ziet er uit als een mooie gezellige happening.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured all the fun so well. Personally the words "fun" and "run" couldn't be more mutually exclusive in my vocabulary, though I'm glad that others enjoy it so much - even if I do end up having to sponsor them so regularly!
ReplyDeleteWhew! You deserve a breather after that.
ReplyDeleteLove the last on Grace!
ReplyDeleteMadness, just madness!
ReplyDeleteThat's a riot! Is it a 5K or just run 'til you drop or 'til you get to the food tables? Looks an awful lot like one big party. I mean, really, I see a mariachi band in one shot! :))
ReplyDeleteEveryone, including Aimee, looks like they are having fun on this run.
ReplyDeleteIt made me all happy and smiley to read this early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a blast and a whole lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, that does look like fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. I came across a color run in Savannah, Georgia, last year. Loads of fun for the participants and the photographers. I just knew I would see Aimee in the crowd!!
ReplyDeleteHa, sure looks like fun event.
ReplyDeleteWe have these runs even here in my small town. Always such fun. Nice picture of Aimee!
ReplyDeleteGreat fun and great for charity...
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast! That certainly was a run day to remember, and good blog fodder too!
ReplyDeleteSam was in it last year - had a blast! Missed this year as (on the same day) she was in the New York marathon. Love the pic of Aimee!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of these, maybe I'll have to try one some day!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun indeed. I read that they used the wrong coloured powder here a few months ago, it was not washable and people couldn't clean their hair anymore and had to walk with blue and other colours in their hair.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. Now I'm pumped... I'm gonna go for a run myself now. (Hope no one shoots me though.)
ReplyDeleteThat lady with the camera is having way too much fun! This looks like a great time was had by all. I love the clouds of color following people around.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of people and it sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like exhausting fun, Grace :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm exhausted imagining having all that fun. ;))
ReplyDeleteSo many people, so much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like great fun and I saw a few pics on FB... :-) Like a few others here, I'm tired just looking at the photos though!!!
ReplyDeleteThe photos looked good as is, when I enlarged them they got even better. You are right about people having a fantastic time. So many smiles and so much fun.
ReplyDeleteAction and ambiance captured beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteI totally love your last photo, well your entire series is great too, what a wonderful and fun event!
ReplyDeleteColorful images, lots of fun I'm sure! A group of mariachis in Perth? The image of Aimee closes the series with joy in her face!
