Reaching for the sky..

The Bell Tower, home to the historic bells from St. Martins-in-the-Field, you can listen to them here, sitting on the banks of the Swan River since 2001 is a pretty unique structure whichever way you look at it. I know I've shown it before but who can resist another view or two.. are you thinking armadillo, or is that just me :)

We got a pleasant surprise when we ventured down to see how the Elizabeth Quay project was progressing.. the area immediately around the Bell Tower has been a disastrous mess during the construction of EQ, but here it is now all spruced up and ready for visitors. What are you up to this weekend.. it's the markets, a four year old's birthday party and a protest rally for moi :) Whatever you get up to take care and stay safe...

  10. St. Martin-In-The-Fields, as in Trafalgar Square? It looks different from every angle, some like a sailboat.

  14. I'm not sure what to call it. But I know some cell phone companies that would be pretty happy to install some equipment in it.

  15. The tower does have an armadillo effect. At the very least it seems to look reptilian. A fascinating structure.

  19. Your city is becoming an icon for new buildings I see. I like the nicknames for buildings, people are always so creative with them, Armadillo is perfect for this one.
