Hands Up.. Palms on palms!

More 'funky trunks'! Someone, probably the same quirky mind that dressed the gum tree in a royal ball gown, has encased the four palm trees you've seen many times here, tall and majestically overlooking the city with a tropical flourish from Mount Eliza, the highest point in the park.. in palms! Black on white, white on black, significant also because of the Aboriginal history connected to the park. Last shot, look who's taken up residence in nature's skyscrapers, million dollar views for free, swweeeet! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...

  5. I rather like those dressed out trees. But I remember once when someone invited me on a trip to your area and mentioned dressed out trunks. You can imagine how silly I felt lugging that pink & black luggage onto the train!

  6. Very creative trees this way.I like those little hands patterns. But the coloured lorrikeets are the best decoration. Perth has got a Manhattan like city view with all the skyscrapers.

  7. Those birds moved there because you no longer feed them.

  12. They are first tree wraps I really like and see how from a distance they pick up the architectural shapes of the city beyond.

  13. We had a similar event down here Grace. Tree trunks were covered in crocheted sweaters! Very strange.

  14. Now that is a very, very clever idea. I love it. And, what can I say, I knew those lorikeets were smart birds.
