They say it’s never a good sign when an artist has to explain his or her art, I'm not sure I agree totally with this theory, sometimes a bit of 'what the heck?' debate can be enjoyable :) However this super creation in recycled steel by Wayne Jeffrey titled 'Windows' needs no explaining, each misshapen window looking out onto a splendid Araluen vista, I just wish I'd had the foresight to shift my angle to frame a view of the tulips, that would have looked so good.. ah well, next time! Happy Friday, take care and stay safe...
I like this a lot. Don't ask me why, but I find it feminine and sensuous! And beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI see escargots!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe endroit et oeuvre.
ReplyDeleteSuperbe endroit et oeuvre.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the design. What the heck designs are fun. Even better is sitting back and listening to the people discuss it:)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Lowell. And no explanation was needed. Very creative images, Grace.
ReplyDeleteI like it too, Grace! Sometimes we don't have time to study a scene when we are out taking pics.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is rather nice. And I love how you used it in the first shot!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes! I do agree with Lowell and Norma, no explanation needed unique and lovely and I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteNow, you see Grace, I totally get that piece. It looks like a piece of plastic used to hold a six-pack together. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice pictures Grace, I like the way you've framed it, it's an interesting piece of work as well. An interesting view through each window with their different shapes..
ReplyDeleteOh, that works beautifully, Grace!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog. It's really great. I'm a new follower now. I'd love it if you'd add a (Follow By E-Mail) feature to your blog so people could get updates when you post new posts.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty Grace! I like the way you photographed it.
ReplyDeleteWell, your photos are good, Grace. I wish I could say the same about the artwork.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! The photo choices with this one could be endless.
ReplyDeleteBut .. if it is a window Grace where is the window latch? Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat information and very useful blog .
ReplyDeleteI quite like that one.
ReplyDeleteI very much like this sculpture! It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteA very creative sculpture and very creative images, Grace !
ReplyDeleteThis place is very beautiful and I like the modern art, a very talented artist! Also like the way you mixed your pictures with the sculpture's title, it's wonderful, well done!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend dear Grace!
One's own vision of the artist's intention and design is the best explanation.
ReplyDeleteAn explanation may help in understanding better a work of art, but the problem arises when you need an 'explanation' to understand what the work of art is. We have more 'artists' today than in the whole Renaissance, which may be reasonably suspect... By the way, I like this one, even without a concocted explanation.
ReplyDeleteNo, this needs no explanation, Grace - lovely work!
ReplyDeleteNeat to say the least.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good eye you have.
ReplyDeleteLove how the art work shapes and cameos elements of the lovely view. Adore it.
ReplyDeleteI actually find it physically (and perhaps psychologically) impossible to post a pic without an explanation :D
ReplyDeleteAh yes, lovely.... my kind of dreamy see-through windows like looking through the enchanted forest!
