First weekend of spring and.. Google Plus.



We are officially into spring and the weather is behaving accordingly.. all in the one day we've had chilly early mornings, warm sunshine and afternoon showers, couldn't be more perfect! I always seem to show you the more ugly and bizarre Australian native plants, thought you might like to see that we do have many lovely delicate natives also. I wouldn't swear my life on it but I think the first three are of the Callistemon (bottle brush) genus, the above quite rightly called 'purple splendour', that is the actual colour, no touch-ups..


I confess to not having a clue what the two below are but wouldn't they make fabulous Aussie style decorations for the Christmas tree :) Here's the thing about Google Plus, I know many of you use it and I can still visit your blogs, but there are a few who regularly visit and for some reason I'm unable to connect back. Is there something Google Plus users have to do so that non users can still connect.. and no, I'm never going Google Plus :) Hope you have a happy and safe weekend, take care...

    You could have natural Christmas decorations, Grace! I'm so glad you aren't going to Google + since I have the same problem on some blogs.

    Same Google+ problems here. While I was forcefed G+, I don't use it at all and those who do comment on VDP with no links to blogs on their G+ profiles or who only post photos don't get return comments from me. C'est la vie !

    All of these are so beautiful! But we're waiting until the 21st for autumn to begin!

    If Google Plus is being withdrawn, it is certainly not for a lack of pushing it at Google users. I don't know the last three flowers, pretty though.

    Really wonderful flowers, they almost don't look natural… I've not ever seen anything like these. The first one has lovely color.

    Very beautiful Grace.
    I have a Google + account that I found to be not very useful. I lost the PW and email to which it was linked so anyone wanting to connect via G+ well...

    You have some great flowers over there, quite different from the ones I see here. Google Plus is just one more hassle, from my perspective. I visit blogs and I do use Facebook, but I really don't want to have to deal with any more technology. One day still has only 24 hours.

    I love all the plants. Many of them look similar to ones we have here, just different colors. I'm not sure I understand the Google Plus question but, honestly I never do anything with it. It seems to update automatically. I really don't understand the benefit of belonging and if there was a way to "unjoin"I probably would.

    Well, it is clear that we all love your photographs. The flowers are beautiful and different. As for Google+, I resisted and I think I am glad. It bothers me that I can't comment on some people's blogs because I'm not a member but I guess that is the way it is.

    Those flowers are so beautiful, Grace. I don't think I have ever seen the purple callistemon. It's a stunner.

    Spring is always a welcome event, although here in Florida we probably are happier when fall rolls around. Love the flowers. I know we've got red bottlebrush here but I don't recognize the others - very fragile and delicate.
