More 'funky trunks'! Someone, probably the same quirky mind that dressed the gum tree in a royal ball gown, has encased the four palm trees you've seen many times here, tall and majestically overlooking the city with a tropical flourish from Mount Eliza, the highest point in the park.. in palms! Black on white, white on black, significant also because of the Aboriginal history connected to the park. Last shot, look who's taken up residence in nature's skyscrapers, million dollar views for free, swweeeet! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
They sure are million dollar views, and again I really like those creative minds at play. The sweet birds are a bonus too!
ReplyDeleteLove these shots. Hands up!
ReplyDeleteLucky birds, they really get a great view of the park and city. The trees are "well dressed" this year, love it!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome shots, Grace!! Really terrific composition, lovely skies and a great looking part of the city and I do love those funky trunks!! Hope you're enjoying your week!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those trees too, Grace! I'm always so thrilled to see your birdlife though - these guys are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSuch marvelous birds!
ReplyDeleteI rather like those dressed out trees. But I remember once when someone invited me on a trip to your area and mentioned dressed out trunks. You can imagine how silly I felt lugging that pink & black luggage onto the train!
ReplyDeleteVery unusual and eye catching!
ReplyDeleteVery creative trees this way.I like those little hands patterns. But the coloured lorrikeets are the best decoration. Perth has got a Manhattan like city view with all the skyscrapers.
ReplyDeleteThose birds moved there because you no longer feed them.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, fancy trees Grace, all dressed up and nowhere to go....
ReplyDeleteI like the artistic vision on these trees!
ReplyDeleteOh, those crazy but terrific birds. (Mailed my envelope to you today; watch for it!)
ReplyDeleteThe creative art makes the palms look real attractive!
ReplyDeleteBright and beautiful birds too!!

They are first tree wraps I really like and see how from a distance they pick up the architectural shapes of the city beyond.
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar event down here Grace. Tree trunks were covered in crocheted sweaters! Very strange.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a very, very clever idea. I love it. And, what can I say, I knew those lorikeets were smart birds.
ReplyDeleteI love palm trees but there aren't here near my place. Thanks for this feeling of Summer with so adorable images. The palm trees are huge

I rather like the wraps and love the colorful birds.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Grace, birds and palms! Will you re-open your Café?
ReplyDeleteSomeone should do that to the palm trees in southern California!
ReplyDeleteCool wraps on those palms!
ReplyDeleteWe have plenty of palm trees, but I hate them. The idea of funny trunks id not bad anyway...
ReplyDeleteThe funky trunks add a touch of drama to these beautiful scenes. And love the birds enjoying the shelter of the palms.
