Lofty reflections...

It was good to be walking along St. Georges Terrace on a warm spring day. Above, the sculpture Ascalon and St. George's Cathedral reflected in the water feature in Stirling Gardens on the corner of Barrack St. and the Terrace. Stirling Gardens, Perth's oldest public gardens, opened in 1845 as a botanical garden and some of the trees planted back then are still standing today, thankfully the gardens are heritage listed, those trees should be safe from acquisitive hands :) Hope you have a fab weekend, take care and stay safe....

  2. It's good to know that no high rises will be taking the place of the trees, Grace! A nice spot for a bit of a nap.

  10. I love that part of Perth. I remember that beautiful sculpture but not the kangaroos nor the gardens. Must have had my blinkers on.
