So here's the thing! Well two things really. I'd like to say I 'just happened' to spot this quirky stencil in Leederville on Sunday, but truthfully it was a bit of a search.. and by that I mean myself, P, sis and bruv-in-law had to really search :) The irony of the weed killer spray surrounded by weeds was not lost on me when I saw it on a website, especially after a morning pulling head high weeds out of Aimee's garden, and I was determined to find it, just didn't realize how tiny it would be, can you find it on the wall below? (sorry about the sunspot)
Oh and the other thing.. when eventually we did find it way down there, there wasn't a weed in sight. So like any other enterprising photographer I pulled up a weed from a little way off and 'transplanted' it for effect.. you would have done the same right :) Not a mind blowing mural but it tickled my fancy! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
Ah, you do know how to make me smile and start my day, week, whatever with a giggle!! Thanks as always for sharing!! Hope you have a great new week! Enjoy -- camera in hand, of course!!
ReplyDeleteNice... a bit of humour today. :-))
ReplyDeleteI like it too, Grace! ;-))
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed. I like it too!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that I see it. It's so tiny!
ReplyDeleteAnother sweet interlude with you. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI think I can see one!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, naughty, naughty....it's a very good picture well transplanted...
ReplyDeleteA weed transplant?! Oh, Grace! :-)
ReplyDeleteI really wish you had not confessed to cheating and left it as magical as it was.
ReplyDeleteYou make a great commercial photographer too!! :)
ReplyDeleteEven funnier because you transplanted the weed. The Weed Kill stencil may have done its job.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha!!
ReplyDeleteThat was funny, but as you said hard to spot in that huge building...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThe lengths you go to for a good mural shot. You are to be commended.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good spot, if you can spot it that is.
ReplyDeleteA very ingenious approach to this photo story Grace.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, a funny thing to do, to manipulate a photo shoot! Well done.
ReplyDeleteHa! You should frame that.!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is tiny! Very nice find!
ReplyDeleteHehe, Grace, I can so imagine the hunt, LOL!
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea, I love the stencil!
Attack the high cost of weed killers. Make your own. 1/2 water 1/2 vinegar mix. It works!
ReplyDeletethis a weedkiller is not aggressive
ReplyDeleteTruth in photography? Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI see one!
ReplyDeleteThis is fun....
Tee hee! You do have a bit of the devil in you, Grace. We're not supposed to use weed killers her in Ontario, Canada. So I pull a LOT of weeds.
ReplyDeleteYou ae a very inventive photographer!
ReplyDeleteIt's even funnier when you imagine the artist crawling on his belly to stencil an image so close to the ground. I wouldn't have told on myself. I guess that makes you a more evolved person. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
