Chandni Chowk:One Altered Move..

As well as the exquisite finely crafted textiles at the Unfolding: New Indian Textiles exhibition on Monday there were a number of sculptures. Perth artist Alistair Rowe's work Chandni Chowk: One Altered Move inspired by 'the market’s sprawling network of narrow laneways and heritage as part of the 17th century Mughal capital' was visually stunning, the glass sculpture creating a myriad of reflections around the gallery. Perfect for weekend reflections oui! Hope you have a happy and safe weekend, take care...

  3. What an astonishing piece of work; I've never seen anything quite like it. And your photo gives us a good idea what it would be like to see it in reality.

  8. Dynamic play of reflection and shadow in this intriguing sculpture. It reminds me of scaffolding given some artistic dignity.

  9. The light is quite amazing with all the reflections as the sunshine lights up that wall.

  10. As you say - STUNNING! It's raining up here today, so, no gardening (not that a bit of rain is going to hurt me) think I'll just stay in & make book marks.

  21. I probably like the shadows on the wall more than the sculpture itself. (Though I doubt the sculptor cares about my opinion.)
