Rainbow Serpent..

Last week I showed this work by Ukranian artist AEC on the Central TAFE building in Northbridge. Today, just around the corner on the same building a piece by 'partner in art' Waone, who together make up team Interesni Kazki. Titled 'Rainbow Serpent' it too is influenced in surrealistic style by Aboriginal mythology, the serpent a common motif in Aboriginal art, with relating details like the stripey numbat only found in WA and the Australian red tailed black cockatoo. Now this.. let's be kind and say ordinary :) building has a bright and colourful exterior that reflects the bright young minds that study within! Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

  9. What an amazing mural this is and it looks so good on the side of that building. I don't think I'd want to run into that creature in person but I do admire the art.

  24. It is impressive and well done, but it reminds me a bit too much of the work of Dali, which I dislike deeply.

  27. You can't help but like this piece. So well rendered; fantastical and humorous all at once. Had never heard of a numbat before. More education for me. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
