It's been so grey and dismal in Perth this last few days that I thought I might escape just for today and post a couple of my favorite holiday shots, the last time I did this I was in St. Peter's Square in Roma, which was sussed pretty smartish! Both these shots were taken on the same day in the same location and I have a feeling it's going to be way too easy for most of you. Hope you don't mind, but I've felt a little 'uninspired' today and indulged in a spot of wishful thinking.....Happy Thursday, keep warm..oh hang on, it's me that's got to keep warm haha!
Wherever you are/were, it looks delightful and romantic, so of course my first thought was Paris or Rome! It's not cold here, but it is gray -- AGAIN!! Ah, well!! I do hope you get some better weather soon!

Tuileries or jardin du Luxembourg...
ReplyDeleteIt just rained heavily here and the temperature dropped from 18 to 14°. Just another almost-summer-day...
For us, the weather is not much better, and bad at the moment for subjects. Since it is always good if you have a good archive, and yours is great!
ReplyDeleteRejoice, then comes the sun.
CL
It's a wonderful day here - +18˚C, no humidity and sunny. A respite from the humidity and heat!
ReplyDeleteThinking the same as Sam: Luxembourg or Tuileries in Paris...
ReplyDeleteJudging by the chic style in both photos and the pond edging I'd say Paris for sure? At Parc Monceu, Trocadero or Gardens de Luxembourg. I don't imagine children are allowed near the ponds at Versailles Palace! Lovely idea Grace.
ReplyDeleteWhere ever these youngsters are it appears they are serious about their fishing. The weather is nice in Tulsa - partly cloudy and 84F.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup ces photos surtout les enfants !!!
ReplyDeleteDon't know where it is, but these youngsters look like they'll be fishing buddies for life! Nice catch Grace.
ReplyDeleteNice shots, dear Grace! Summer is coming to my town....
ReplyDeleteWish you a good life.
Erika
I'm not sure, but I'd guess you took these in Paris! Lovely photos, both of them. Can't understand why it's so cold there, it was about 90 degrees F here today! ;-))
ReplyDeleteSweet image!
ReplyDeleteOh that has to be Luxembourg Gardens in lovely Paris France!
ReplyDeleteKnowing you, it must be someplace in France! Hope you stay warm...it is lovely here!
ReplyDeleteThe two pictures are poetic and romantic, each in its own way.
ReplyDeleteI'll join the chorus and say Paris, France :-).
ReplyDeleteWe've been cursed with horribly soggy weather too, so this is like a breath of fresh air, thank you!
ReplyDeletela deuxieme photo est magnifique et si romantique
ReplyDeleteI really like your photography and am going to enjoy following you!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Paris as well but its so long since I've been there that I've got no idea where it would be.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos but I truly love the last one. I think Paris because I was always amazed how everyone seemed to be in love when I was there. Great shots
ReplyDeleteThese are so sweet. Trade you our warmth for the cold.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be PARIS!:)
ReplyDeleteThe chairs are green?
awwhh sweet
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Shots...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove the top shot! It could be an ad of a Gant for kids campaign.
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are a great break for a dismal day...there at your location and here at mine. Both fill me with good cheer.
ReplyDeleteUnderstand exactly what you mean about the greyness at the moment Grace. Love the cheery images that you have here.
ReplyDeleteBoth are very nice shots. It can't really get very cool in Perth, can it?
ReplyDeletehow cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll go with the majority and say Paris. Love that second shot!
ReplyDeleteSweet images to warm you during your gray skies. Here it's sunny and about 74 degrees. It looks like we might actually have a sunny summer. The first in two years.
ReplyDeleteGray & dismal in Perth? I don't believe you!
ReplyDeleteIn Paris!?
ReplyDeleteI'm sticking my neck out and saying Tuileries. I love the boats. Thanks for the memories Grace.

Full of poetry! Arianna
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup ces attitudes qui n'ont ni âge ni pays. C'est tout simplement la vie et des moments de bonheur.
ReplyDeleteMerci, Gracie!
Good idea for a post and one that I may well have to borrow someday soon :-)
ReplyDeleteMy instinct is somewhere French for the location but I am not quite sure where - Jardin des Tuileries, Paris?
Our weather is not much to sing about either! I've been struggling for photos! Even get a few odd ones on the way to work in utter desperation! Mainly skies before they tumble their bounty or before the chill winds bite through me! Adore both photos you retrieved from the archives! A sense of beautiful spirit in them!
ReplyDeletebeautiful candid captures Grace!
