Comfort zone.....!

Heading down the freeway a few mornings ago, the city ahead was shrouded in low, rain laden clouds, which as you can see below we drove straight into (looks good bigger). If you look to the left of the top picture you'll see the freeway exit marked Vincent Street, this is my 'comfort' exit, leaving the freeway here I can get to Northbridge, the city and most places that I go to on a regular basis, but... if perchance I want to go to the Zoo or anywhere South, the best way to cross the river is via the Narrows Bridge and for moi this is waaaay out of my comfort zone! I will do it, well you have to if you want to get somewhere right, but the minute I pass Vincent I tense up, my hands grip the wheel, my nose hits the windscreen..kidding (maybe). Do you have something that makes you leap right out of your 'safe spot', hopefully not today, have a good start to the new week, take care.....

  2. Thankfully our little town doesn't have freeways, but after having my knee fractured once already cycling down our main street, I try to avoid the route if I can. My "comfort zone" now includes less traffic!

  4. That looks like Seattle traffic! Don't have a car any more and I'm glad, always hated to drive anyway! And your rainy car window looks like Seattle, too!! Ah, but not today!! We have some sun! Hooray!!!
Hope you have a great week, Gracie!

  6. I hate to be in stop and go traffic especially if someone else is driving. I think I like to be in control!
It is cloudy but warm here.

  7. Nice shots, Grace. I was in Perth last week for work and flew in with the storm, and then had another storm to send me off!

  8. Yes - the thing that makes me jump out of my skin is traveling in the snow! I HATE it! And I am completely white-knuckled if I am riding...and insane if I am driving!

  9. I have to admit, I'm a real granny when it comes to interstate driving. We don't have much of a system here though. If I lived in LA or Atlanta even, I'd have a nervous breakdown!

  10. A challenge indeed. After eight years over here, am still not used to the many times too full public transport.

Please have a good new week ahead.

  12. Not fond of the traffic, then? Take a holiday in Los Angeles and break all your fears. Love the second shot.

  14. First, you managed to make a traffic jam look picturesque! Second, so impressed you snapped it while driving! I'm the same way on highways - need my 'comfort' exits (love that term:)

  18. Great photos Grace, Perth is blessed with some inpressive skyscrapers. Not sure I could drive around your city too well- Manchester driving is fine- and London to a point- as I do it rarely and know the centres well. Parking ability is wa-aay out of my comfort zone though- I have to find a big space to be happy....

  20. You have just reminded me why I am so glad not to be crossing the Narrows as I did previously. Amazing just how much the traffic tempo in Perth has picked up. Have a great week also Grace and thank you for the comments that you left on my post yesterday. Greatly appreciate your feedback. Best wishes, Rae
