Even in mid winter there's a lot going on at the marina, can't let a bit of cold (?) weather stop you getting out and about. It's a favorite spot for school excursions and outdoor sport activity. Don't let the blue sky fool you, it's crisp out there, even though I get the definite impression that our idea of 'crisp' here in Perth might make a few of you 'laugh out loud', it's all relative right!! My plan is to start the weekend with a sleep in, and by that I mean at least 8am (here's hoping), and then it's off in search of a chimney for the theme tomorrow, could be tricky. Have a great weekend, take care and keep safe.....
7.4°C is coolish, but up here that's not considered "crisp" yet. When folks can still wade in the water without their feet turning blue the weather is still prety close to "fine"! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that second shot.
Yes we wouldn't go for 'crisp' - that would be a warm winter day here!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what the temp is, but today it is above 100f here! Stay warm and safe, Grace! I am staying in where it is cool!
ReplyDeleteYour mid winter looks more comfortable tan our summer!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see..it's supposed to be summer over here but we have just had the wettest June on record.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well.
Hugs Drew xx
At least you have some blue sky! Ours is all grey upon grey! Many of my current posts enlist archived photos from about the same season last year - when there were some blue skies! Love the first photo with the slivers of "red soldiers" on the beach and the two seagulls surveying it all!
ReplyDeleteGroan... You've just reminded me of the chimney thingy and I'm going to be in Paris all day tomorrow... OUCH...
ReplyDeleteLove all the tiny little red beings in the first shot! :-)
I love both shots, but if I close my eyes & imagine a bit for the 2nd one, it could almost be a warm beach day! Love it! Though we're facing a East Coast heat wave, so could perhaps use some crisp weather... :)
ReplyDeleteIts definitely brass monkey weather down here :-).
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling our climates are similar so I know what you mean when you say 'crisp'. It's going to be 111 degrees here this weekend. That's 43.88 celcius! Summer is here and it's a hot one. Good luck chimney hunting.
ReplyDeleteMust be a joy to breath your air.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good weekend ahead.
Chimney? Oh geesh, I forgot the theme day again. Maybe I can scare up something. IN the meantime, bear in mind that our temps are 102F here in B'ham today. Enjoy CRISP!

Ah! crisp I can cope with .... Kids don't seem to feel the cold when they're having fun..
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about the theme day Grace .... now where am I going to find a chimney.
Looks like a fun spot.
ReplyDeleteA chaque saison, ses plaisirs. Sinon, on se fatiguerait. J'auri une pensée pour toi, Gracie, quand, dans une heure, j'irai prendre mon bain de mer...
ReplyDeleteBisou!
Winter? Pah!
ReplyDeleteLove the seagulls and especially the kids in the background being taught how to enjoy a beach! Very Aussie!
Lovely colours in both.
Winter or summer, from here Perth seems an amazing place to visit...!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your chimney´s search, although I don´t know what happen with the portal so, maybe we can´t have where to show our photos again...

I'm curious since my little brother and his wife are coming to visit on the 12th. What temperature is it exactly? When you say winter that means 30degrees F
ReplyDeletefor me in Oklahoma. It doesn't look much like winter to me!
fantastic report, full of drama, colors, contracts and beauty!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you composed the top shot and what a joyful gathering of kayakers!
