Where am I. ....?
Just for today I'm not in Perth (well I am, but my pictures not) I thought I'd escape for only one day and looking through some of my shots from a trip that Aimee and took two years ago I realized that perhaps I do have a thing for B&W.....These were all taken on the same morning, in the same location. So where do you think we are.....? Hope you have a great start to the new week.....p.s. I have no idea what the guy in the last photo is up to there in the right hand corner, it's definitely not the sort of place you can break into! p.p.s . I was going to give a clue, but it's really too easy si...!

beaux b&w, et une belle diversité dans les sujets
ReplyDeleteI don't have a clue where you were, but I don wonder what that guy is doing? And didn't I see uniformed men pass by right before that photo? You make B&W look so interesting...I am working on it! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where you are, but they surely are interesting looking captures, Grace!! Love your B&W! I haven't mastered that I'm afraid!! Hope your week is off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Where are you? How about sitting in front of your computer?
ReplyDeleteDo I know where you are? Were? Obviously a Spanish speaking country. Si??
ReplyDeleteSi, e facile. Has to be St Peter's Square, Vatican city, Roma! Lovely b&w shots, but Italy can look in any colour!
ReplyDeleteYou must be in Italia, Roma and Al, I believe is correct, in St. Peter's Square. I was there in 1957. I was very young and in the Navy.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are great fun and I do like the b&w.
Have a wonderful week!
I'd like to continue with the thought of Rome and the St. Peter's Sq. - must have been like touching time. Please have a good new week ahead.

ReplyDeleteYes, easy, if you were there, is the very very very long line to access to see the wonders of Saint Peter's Basilica. Great B&W shots!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like Italy. Lucky you. I would love to see Italy one day.
ReplyDeleteBW is difficult, these are good !
ReplyDeleteI reckon you're in Rome, Italy the nuns in the last photo gave it away, hopefully :-).
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Kalgoolie! The Italian end.
ReplyDeleteGreat B&W shots, they really work well. The comments above seem to confirm my suspicions about the location - no, not Kalgoolie!
ReplyDeleteElegant policemen like that can only be carabinieri...
ReplyDeleteYou were in Rome throwing fixing Luthers list to the door?
ReplyDeletesome interesting scenarios here - I thought it was ancient Rome but then again not so ancient.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Rome, but what would I know??!! And when the photos are this good? Who cares!!
ReplyDeletePS Will be using those pix from you soon. Thanx again!!
Roma, Vatican, Saint Peter's place! The only place where to see YOUNG religious men!
ReplyDeleteI instinctively thought you would post something from Paris, but ok, Vatican City.
ReplyDeletePiazza San Pietro a Roma!! buon inizio settimana a Te...ciao
ReplyDeleteMy guess, without looking at what anyone else said, woudl be The Vatican Grace. Nice b&w photos and a cool idea to have an "away day" post. That wd be a neat Meme in fact?
ReplyDeleteChrissy
Vatican City is nice n any color.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess it is Rome, the Vatican? I had a great laugh at your comment yesterday! People do strange things in the water.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to join the group that is guessing Rome. I'll be there in mid-May!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the others, I guess it's the Vatican. I tried to read the sign but I couldn't. :-) Love the motion of the robes on the top shot.
ReplyDeleteSeems the popular opinion is Rome .. but I am thinking its somewhere closer to home (your's not mine)
ReplyDeleteexcellent b and w shots! haven't a clue where!
ReplyDeleteInstinct says to me Italy....then I look at the cops and all the tourists and I think, no, not just Italy, the Vatican City!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week !
Hmmm...I'm not sure where in the world this is. It looks touristy with locals inter-mixed. I'll look forward to you revealing the answer.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Vatican to me too!

Very interesting street shots and they look great in bw :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd be foolish not to agree with the others, I suspect!
ReplyDeleteGreat BW shots. I particularly like the top one. Looks very timeless and has a grainy film feel to it.
