I know it's been a bit hot lately (understatement of the year!), but there's no need to do anything drastic old chap!! Personally I think it was a little bizarre to be standing upright paddling way out there past the buoy, can you see him out there, if he's heading for Rottnest Island he's rowing in the wrong direction. Come home, all's forgiven....! Or maybe, keep going you can do it, see you in a week....! Hope you have a great Sunday.....
Well, I hope he made it -- whatever he was trying to do!! Guess the heat gets to some more than others! I do remember "heat" having been born and raised in Texas where I spent a number of years, before escaping!! Hope your weekend is going well, Grace! Enjoy! Stay cool!

It's definitely your commentary that makes this shot. My husband thinks I'm crazy for laughing out loud. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Balance the most difficult, yet most successful mean of movement.
ReplyDeletePlease have you all a good Sunday.
Very nice photos...without the 2nd one, the first wouldn't have as much meaning! Makes you wonder where he is headed! Have a great Sunday, Grace!
ReplyDeleteAt least it would be cool out there! Have a relaxing Sunday Grace and hope you are able to keep cool.
ReplyDeleteWow - he is really out there! Maybe to go around that point?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in California last summer I saw several people floating way out there standing up on boards like this. It's the craziest thing I've seen. You would not catch me doing that.
ReplyDeletethis is a popular sport here too...I saw a young man paddling away on his surf board out in the middle of what is meant to be a rip current! dangerous for swimmers but not equally so for someone on a surf board with no life jacket?!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought, at first, he was playing golf!!! You do pick 'em, Grace.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture Grace. Happy Sunday to you too.
ReplyDeletehee hee....
ReplyDeleteHe's listening to his inner Hemmingway...
Wouldn't be surprised if the poor old fellas brain has had a meltdown with all the hot weather you've been having over there lately :-).
ReplyDeleteWell maybe he is there already!
ReplyDeleteI first saw these paddle boards about five years ago. A man was paddling with his dog on the board. It looked very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh Grace.. "Come home, All's forgiven.". I think Mrs Paddleboarder has a row boat heading towards the sunset.
ReplyDeleteYeah, sometimes you just don't get it right. Christopher Columbus, after 'discovering' America, came back to Spain, to Barcelona, to tell the Spanish kings. Centuries later, the city put a big statue on top of a big column on the seafront, a statue of Mr C. pointing towards... Italy. Wrong way, mate!
ReplyDeleteThere are weirdos all over the world. This one is very strange!
ReplyDeletehaha! Whatever direction he was heading, he looks quite determined about it ;D
ReplyDelete'Standing' on water! :-) I see people doing that here too.
ReplyDeleteHi Grace, thanks for your comment(s)! I'm using a mixture of Photomatix Pro, Artizen Photoroom, Photoshop CS4, and I often pass the same photo 2 or 3 times through the torture chamber.
ReplyDeleteWait for tomorrow's post, I'm pretty proud of this photo!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, best of luck to him.
ReplyDeleteI know it is hot there but your so-blue water looks like paradise!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Another great fotogtrafie and accompanying text. Reconstruction of Bridge Square in Perth, will definitely improve. For us in Hradec, reconstruction will also be large. It amazes me so much heat. Really hot summer. I'd probably spend most of their free time in the water. Wishing you a wonderful week. Sincerely, Peter.
ReplyDeleteThe heat can make people do crazy things. Maybe he's trying to get away from it all or other even crazier people! Fun shot. It does look warm there!
ReplyDeleteHope someone's keeping an eye on him.
ReplyDeleteWell, Grace, this guy has me confused today. I have no idea at all where he is going or why.
ReplyDeleteI thought he was walking on water, initially! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely summery shots!
I se you have your fair share of strange guys...
ReplyDeleteSometimes I see paddleboarders here way out past the buoys in the Gulf of Mexico and wonder the same thing, 'What in the heck are you doing?!' Nice captures.
