So much colourful, exuberant fun.. the Brazilian Beach Carnival was all that and more. As the host of the show pointed out this is probably one of the only countries in the world that could hold an event like this at the moment. Although we are Covid free there are still many everyday things we do to ensure it stays that way, including, as here, checking in with the Covid Safe app, takes less than a minute! The music and dancing by SambOzzy was exhilarating, I don't think there was one person sitting still, by the time we left I was pretty keen to join a samba group.. I think I just heard my physio faint :) I took 486 pics, so there will be more.. don't worry, not 486 more :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
Looks like people are having a great time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, Grace.

You are so lucky to be able to enjoy this sort of thing. We do not even have any restaurants open and the schools are closed again. I am beginning to wonder if we will ever be able to enjoy life to the full ever again.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and enjoy while you can. Diane
What fun! You are so lucky to be able to attend events like this! That certainly looks like an event full of photographic opportunities.
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteThat was a very cheeky event in Perth!
Hugs,
Mariette
The fun is back!
ReplyDeleteOh what fun. Samba always looks like so much fun, go for it. The music is compelling.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a long time before we have an event like that, Grace! I would love to take Samba lessons! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks great. We have a samba band in Cambridge, believe it or not. Even more remarkably they are rather good, but I doubt they've been able to get together for a while.
ReplyDelete...and let the beat go on.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. Just imagine 486 shots on film.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you! Hope you just feel better and better, G
ReplyDeleteBrazilians! 😜
ReplyDeleteQuite an event to take in!
ReplyDeleteGreat event Grace, what a pity I didn't book. Next time for sure!
ReplyDelete486 pics wow Grace!
Covid app. I just would like people to wear there mask.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Looks great.
ReplyDeleteGrace! Not even 500 pics? I´m disappointed 🤣
ReplyDeleteOh, that must´ve been fun! I remember a CD I had, "Samba-Brazil"!
Agreed, you cannot sit still listening to that and how wonderful it must´ve been to have it live!!!
You really beat darn Corinna! Yay. BIG yay.
Ah that brazilian samba music is so uplifting and attractive and add to that all those swinging human bodies and the time for a real party has arrived. No one can remain unmoved by that.
ReplyDeleteOh wow that looks like fun to see all the happy colourful dressed people dancing around!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy to see a happy crowd attending an open-air show. I would like to be able to teleport myself like Mr Spock to listen to battucadas in front of the Indian Ocean, dance the samba until late at night
ReplyDeleteWhat a great carnival. I envy your covid status Grace, ours is improving. I have booked another flight to Oz for Christmas - ever the optimist!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun, it looks like everyone is having a good time.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
