I took the view of the city here from the front gardens of St Columba's Catholic Church in South Perth. Build in 1936 St Columba's consists of school, presbytery and convent and is on the State Register of Heritage Places for reasons that 'it is an intact collection of buildings forming an historic
Catholic group and, distinguished by the prominence of the site, is a
regional landmark'. It is indeed in an excellent spot with views out over the Swan River to the city. Happy Good Friday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. P got honked three times on the way to golf yesterday, not all that many people on the road at 6am.. and yes he did see the funny side of it :)

An impressive locale.

...beautiful blue skies!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful scenery and church. Love your new header, Grace. It's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous building, Grace!
ReplyDeletePretty shots. Even though we are half a world away, it looks very similar to our churches and missions in S CA. Photo #1, with the red tile roof, and what looks like a sycamore tree, looks just like my local neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteLovely blue skies and clear air. The church buildings are classic and could be anywhere in the World.
ReplyDeletePretty church...and thanks for the laugh. Loved your April Fools joke!
ReplyDeleteThe church reminds me of one in St. Augustine, FL.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot for taking photos, not only of the view but of those beautiful buildings.
ReplyDeleteIt looks peaceful there.
ReplyDeleteOK, Grace, I learned a new word (Parochial - I had to look it up), but thanks for the laugh on P really getting honked at 😂
ReplyDeleteOh! WA is on TV (Kalgoorlie and such, people still searching for gold).
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile widely with P getting honked. Are they autumn leaves or burnt summer leaves, or a bit of both?
ReplyDeleteSturdy building.
ReplyDeleteOh dear you are a naughty one Grace! Did he liked the joke aftwerwards?
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that church was there Grace, even though I've been close to it.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Happy Easter and have a good weekend, Diane
