Playing with bridges..

It's been a while since I've had a bit of fun with the suspension bridge at Elizabeth Quay. What do you think, as Kandinsky might have envisioned the bridge above or how I saw it on a chilly winter day?

Gleaming even on a dull day First Contact.. 'inspired by the Noongar people’s first visions of European settlers, whose distant sailing ships looking like floating birds bearing the white-faced spirits of their ancestors'. Little did they know life as they knew it would never be the same. Another stormy day in WA.. happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

  3. Love the Kandinsky style Grace, but it's a beautiful bridge any way you show it.
The area around the Swan Bells is almost unrecognizable.

  6. Beautiful bridge design and the way bridges can be designed now is the same as you can play with the photograps. By computer aided design.

  14. Well, Grace... I have to admit the bridge is looking great. Even in Perth ;-)
    Oh, those towers!
See... first time I came to Perth (1995) I found a different place and yes, I know, development is good. (I insert a very small "but" ...).
Hot here, hot, hot, hot. I never ever asked for a chill to send over, but could you? ;-)

  16. That is a fantastic bridge, so elegant, what a crazy design. Would love to see it in person. I don't think it was there when I visited Perth back in the early 2000s, I think it was 2003..

  18. Wow, now that is one incredible bridge structure! I can just hear the jokes of drunk builders putting it together if this were St. Paul, Minnesota. The last shot is one special statue too! Unbelievable art everywhere you travel.
