Searching for treasure..

There was a long list of instructions for the children heading onto Fremantle's Bathers Beach, I wonder if like me the only one they heard was 'each of  you find four treasures things to bring back.' School excursions for children these days are such fun. When I was this age I lived in Central Africa and family holidays were often to Beira in Mozambique to swim in the Indian Ocean thousands of kilometres away :) I love that my children grew up swimming in the very same ocean but only five minutes from home, funny how that happened :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  3. Cool beach. Always fun to grow up around water. A river for me and the Pacific Ocean not too far away

  4. Do you think you were drawn to live by the sea from those childhood memories? I don't remember any school day trips as exciting as a this. I do remember going to a park to draw pictures once or twice. I was lucky to have adventuresome parents. I did more exploring with them than I did at school.

  5. You have stayed close to your ocean, Grace! Our school trips were pretty boring!

  6. Growing up by the ocean is priceless. I moved many times but here I am still beside the ocean. I can't imagine anywhere else.

  7. How I loved Beira we had some magical holidays there. I have though, never worried about not growing up next to the sea. I love to walk along the beach when I can, but I do not like swimming in the sea much, give me fresh water any time! We are only an hours drive away from the sea here but I prefer to go to the lakes. Hope you have a good remainder to the week Diane

  10. I LIKE that top shot! Same ocean, other side. That's what I'm doing right now. Only a bit further (over the Marin Hills) not nearer. I'd love to hear more about your youth in Africa over yes some day. Which side of the Pacific is the question 😎🌺🌸💓

Oh! BTW! My 85 year old Mum is in Paris (from Waikiki) with her 94 year old boyfriend! Ooo la la!

  12. It never occurred to me, same ocean, just the other side. When you don't live near the beach when you are young, it is incredibly exciting when you visit.
