If like me you weren't exactly sure what AR is, explanation here. They lost me at 'the objects that reside in the real-world are 'augmented' by
computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities'đ Even so, the novelty factor and the enjoyment of the 6km Activated Walk with my beautiful daughter on a sunny winters day made it an all round enjoyable experience. If you look at Aimee's Instagram, all up less than a minute, here, here, here, here, here and here you will see augmented reality.. in reality :) Definitely worth a watch. Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. don't forget to hit 'play' on each one..
Very cool- and even a bit creepy!
ReplyDelete...I'm a bit slow that learning this sort of stuff!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel that I've got old just in time.
ReplyDeleteLoved the post.Nice pics.
ReplyDeleteNeat! I watched the instagram posts, I like the seagulls!!
ReplyDeleteDifferent for sure, I just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteI read the link and looked at the instagram but still don't understand it. Were you wearing special glasses to see it? I feel like a real luddite. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour Activated Walk sounds like fun. Good clicks.
ReplyDeleteI was actually still there until I reached sensory modalities. It sounds like good fun to play with.
ReplyDeleteI like the seagulls, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I get how this works but I do like the idea. I loved all the little videos. The one with the people crawling out of eyes and mouth was a bit creepy as was the one with arms growing out hair. Even if I cant quite grasp the concept, I still can admire the creativity.
ReplyDeleteAs my grandmother used to say, “What will they think of next?”
ReplyDeleteThe fifth was my favourite!
It's eye of the beholder.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
That was pretty cool. Makes me think I've been missing a lot.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun, I'd never heard of that, so much to learn still...
ReplyDeleteWeirder than weird. Creepy and somewhat disconcerting. But very very cool.
ReplyDeleteI am probably going to live a very good life without ever understanding a thing about augmented reality.
ReplyDeleteThere´s also a Braunschweig App for it - gotta test it if free Wifi works properly. Amazing stuff these days, Grace!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Arianna
ReplyDeleteYes! There is such for the self sour of the Marin Country building (by frank lloyd wright) I enjoyed this post
ReplyDeleteWish I could look at Aimee's Instagram, I am really getting fed up with our WiFi it seems to be getting slower if that is possible. Perhaps I should go back to dial up!!!! Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteThis is really catching on and usually quite interesting, as your captures show. I'm betting there will be a lot of this at our Minnesota State Fair this year in the Fine Arts Building!
