From brollies to blooms...

You might remember the last time you saw this spot on Hay Street in the city it was festooned with a colourful array of umbrellas during the winter festival.. now adorned with garlands of flowers during Spring in the City. Whether brollies or blooms it's a hot spot for photos :) Heartfelt wishes go out to all affected by the horrific bush-fires in California and those still struggling with the aftermath of hurricanes and storms.. the US is having a tough time in more ways than one. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...

  5. This is really beautiful and if those are real flowers, I bet it smells heavenly. I don't know which I like better, the brollies or the flowers.
Thanks for the kind thoughts about all the tragedies in the U.S. It has certainly been a horrific year.

  12. This is so gorgeous! What a celebration of a wonderful season. (The worst of the wildfires are close to an area where I used to live. The devastation is unimaginable; whole neighborhoods are ash and rubble. And I've yet to learn the fate of animals at a small private zoo where I briefly worked, Safari West.)

  18. The first pic reminded me of Christmas as at that time many have wreath for the season here with four candles to light.
It´s nice, but as you can guess, Grace, I liked the brollies much, much better.
