Ceci n'est pas une voiture c'est une joie de vivre!
After a bit of morning drama Aimee and I eventually arrived in Subiaco for the French Festival. We weren't exactly sure where Market Square Park was but luckily Mlle Rouge aka Red below was there to point us in the right direction :) Snippets of conversation are a delight. Australian lady to elderly French gentleman sporting a fabulous beret "excuse me did you buy your beret here?" Elderly French gentleman to lady a disdainful "Non!"..end of discussion! Made me smile :)
I didn't wear a beret but like many others I did wear le striped tee shirt :)
Asterix and Obelix never looked so good from behind :) I'll show you some of the gorgeous French fashions tomorrow. Hope you are having a good weekend, happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..
...that car is so ugly that it's cute!
ReplyDeleteA good old 2CV, you can't get much Frencher than that.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I could fit in that car. My legs would be hanging outside the window.
ReplyDeleteI see ye olde Thai spammer is back.
I like all of it, the costumes, especially the striped clothes, and I love that old car - it's got tons of character. I'll bet you had a grand old time!
ReplyDeleteLove the little red Citroen car. I doubt I'd be able to fit into it though.
ReplyDeleteThe lady in the middle is nice too.
Hope you had fun.
That is a fine looking 2CV Citroen in red, but the eyelashes above the headlights are a bit much. While a good looking car, it is so slow as to not be safe on many contemporary roads, and it lacks safety for the occupants.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun that must have been, Grace. Probably 1/2 of my wardrobe is striped!
ReplyDeleteThe old red car is a beauty. I laughed when I read the elderly gentleman's response to the question about the beret.
ReplyDeleteHope you had lots of fun. Did you speak French to everyone while you were there? :)
This looks like loads of fun and that red car is just perfect. I love all the stripes too.
ReplyDeleteOh wow I do love the 2CV's eyelashes LOL. So very French. It looks like masses of fun. Bon dimanche, Diane
ReplyDeleteLooks like great fun. I would love to take the 2CV for a spin. As far as I know we don't have a French festival here :-(
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous, PDP. Love the colour of the car.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy seeing the backs of people too, why is that? It's like such a tender shot when you see them walking away. I have one with myself and three of grandchildren my daughter took at the zoo! The striped/ black and white captures makes me want to go shoot something like it too. Silly right? No, not really. You inspire us. But best of all are the eye lashes on that adorable car!
ReplyDeleteMlle. Rouge was cute from behind...adorable once I saw her lashes. Ooh la la!
ReplyDeleteLovely car :) Nice pics n post.
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks flirty.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Great posting!
ReplyDeleteThe red 2CV is what we used to call "Student Jaguar" in my student days.
I like the way you put together the "striped" outfits.
ENJOY the day and the event!
The 2CV is gorgeous! Lovely sweet eyelashes :)
ReplyDeleteThose eyelashes are so funny. Love to see the fashions you spotted. I once had a Breton sweater myself too!
ReplyDeleteWe call those cars "Ente", "duck", and if green you can pinch someone and make a wish.
ReplyDeleteThose eyelashes are cute, Grace, oh-lá, looks like you had a fun day indeed :-)
OH that would have been so enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteHow delightful, G. One thinks they did it just for YOU, our favorite Francophile :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time. Obelix looks very fit here.
ReplyDeleteThe Portuguese call those cars "frog's mouth". I like the lashes, very funny. So cute that people dressed up "French style".
ReplyDeleteHow fun Grace! Love the conversation about the beret and the eyelashes on that red car.
ReplyDeletered 2cv is so coooool!! ew
ReplyDeleteThat red car is cool!
ReplyDeleteYes, the red car is cool!
