1938 was an excellent year for Chevrolet! If I'd taken these shots the day before the CDP 'Sensuous' theme this would have been a serious contender! Spotted yesterday while at Fremantle Harbour.. I wasn't the only one drooling over the curvaceous lines of this old beauty..
Just check out that derriere.. sexily low slung :)
Inside the cream and red leather seats were, like the rest of the car in immaculate condition. I was tempted to take a shot or two but it felt a bit like invading someones inner sanctity. I'm not sure if I've ever seen such a clean and shiny car, shiny enough to reflect an incidental selfie below.. even the wheels were white and pristine. Not usually bothered much about cars I did get a little flushed and excited while taking these shots :) Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..
Hubba HUBBA!
ReplyDelete...sexy wheels!
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty, PDP.
ReplyDeleteShe's not looking too bad for 79!
ReplyDeleteLuckily it was outside as the owner may have said, no flash photography.
ReplyDeleteWell you've got me covered in nostalgia. My first car was a 1937 Chevrolet. It wasn't a coupe, though, but a four door. And black. I was 15. Needless to say I loved it. Put in a radio, lowered the rear end, smoothed out the hood and trunk lid, installed twin exhaust pipes and put on covers for the back wheels. It was very cool. And I drove it everywhere. A few years later I traded it for a 1950 Plymouth coupe - 2 dr. That was even cooler. I would have loved the one pictured in this post!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beauty and so well preserved. They don't make them like this anymore......:(
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that would have had me snapping away also. What a beauty!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is a beauty, Grace. Why can't they make such cool cars today?
ReplyDeleteTolles Auto schöne Farbe. Mein Auto hat eine ähnliche Farbe ist aber
ReplyDeletenicht so elegant wie der Chevrolet.

I love old cars but I have to admit to not being crazy about American cars!!! I prefer the old European cars every time. Take care Cheers Diane
ReplyDeleteI must have missed this one. I Love the 1938 Chevrolet. My father worked for GM/Chevrolet for thirty-some years, beginning in the late 30s, but I wasn't born until '49. This is a great shot of a beautiful restoration.
ReplyDeleteThis is a head turner of a car, it's a beauty! Glad you got the opportunity to photograph it.
ReplyDeleteGotta love those old cars. I love riding in old cars and sometimes even get to drive one. The junk made today will not be around nearly as long. Beautiful shots Grace.
ReplyDeleteWow awesome car. Awesome pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead.
Right Side Drive, Love It
ReplyDeleteCheers
I'm so drooling over that one!
ReplyDeletenice i love vintage cars...
ReplyDeleteThat's one pure labor of love. Look at the red detailing on the inside of those whitewalls! I can almost picture its owner rubbing it down each night in a garage somewhere, purring sweet nothings.
ReplyDeleteFine photos of this classic, old Chevy. I use to have a 1936 Chevy panel truck that I enjoyed driving. It ran well and had shiny paint (green wth black fenders), but was not as perfect as the coupe you found.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThat´s the best "selfie" ever, Grace - what a gem!!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful...
Uma bela máquina.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço, boa semana.
