Fremantle.. Up and down the cappucino strip..

I may have mentioned before that I find the lure of heritage buildings en masse irresistible and one of the reasons that I take every opportunity available to visit Fremantle.. that and the excellent coffee and just about any kind of food that tickles your fancy :) The cappuccino strip here on South Terrace has to be pretty close to 100% heritage. Above the Scots Presbyterian Church, first service in 1890. One hundred years later, give or take a few years, the buildings may look the same but the use of them couldn't be more different. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. not enough hours in the day yesterday, big catch up today!

  3. I remember this beautiful city from a previous post of yours! I thought it was delightful then and think the same now. I'd be visiting it often if I was fortunate enough to live close by!

  8. Fremantle is an appealing looking town with those traditional buildings and all the cafes. I would love to have a coffee and sit at a sidewalk table to watch people walk past.

  12. It's a great city. I suspect it is one of those that was preserved by neglect before being 'discovered'.

  18. There are some really gorgeous buildings here - I can see why you'd like to return regularly. (We have a mostly preserved Victorian era city, Port Townsend, about an hour away. I regularly come up with excuses to go there.) And lots of coffee? What's not to like?!
