The Elizabeth Quay Carousel..

It's been a few weeks since we were last in the city, over the Christmas period it was all about enjoying time at home and the beach with family, so when I heard that Elizabeth Quay was now home to a new 'handcrafted Venetian' carousel I was pretty keen to have a squizzy.. who doesn't love a carousel right! It is indeed très charmant don't you think.

The shot above with the city in the background and below looking through to the Swan River. You can read where, why and who commissioned the carousel here. Can you tell from the light in these shots that on Monday when I took them it was 37C, I know right, I sure pick my days to head into the city :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. will be looking to take some pics of the carousel in the evening real soon..

  5. It's totally gorgeous, wish I could have a ride on it. Lucky horses, each one has a lovely red pompom. When it gets to 37C, is it hot and sticky or just plain hot? If it gets that hot here, it's always with high humidity making everyone cross and bad tempered!!!!

  7. What an elegant carousel, is the music also Venetian? A blue sky and hot weather - STOP, you're driving me crazy, it's freezing here in Blighty!

  12. Is there anything more exciting for a child than a ride on a carousel. It should look great when lit at night.

  14. It looks lovely and old fashioned. Is it a renovated one or a new one built in the old style? You sure have been having some hot days over there.
