Busking without music...

Last week while at Hillarys Boat Harbour I came across the 'sandcastle guy'. He was drawing quite crowd of future 'sand technicians' around him. Can you spot the construction differences in the second shot below when I came past half an hour later? It cost me $5 for these pics, what can I say.. I'm a big tipper :)

Of course everyone knows that the best thing about building sandcastles is knocking them down, and no one does that with as much panache as ma belle petite-fille below :) May you experience the joy of building and stomping on a sandcastle sometime in the very near future.. happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe...

  4. Wow that is a very special sand sculpture ...

I adored your second photograph, what a cutie. Reminds me when I build sandcastles especially for the grand-kids to knock down! Why do we like doing that ... I wonder?

Hope your week has started well

    All the best Jan

  5. I saw one of these sand builders in Boca Raton, Florida one time and was amazed at how skillful he was! He made some amazing creations, similar to this fellow. Lovely photos and $5 well spent!

  9. Beautiful beach day. Not quite that here today. Someone turned the heat off and even though the sky is clear and blue temperature is a bit cool for the beach, 16C after a week end in the high 20sC.

  14. It is the season for sandcastle art. Frankston, on the foreshore of Port Phillip Bay, hosts sandcastle art each year. Of course, there is an admission fee. I would much prefer to make a donation, as per this artist in your photo.
