As soon as I saw the sculpture above in the garden outside Crown it felt familiar and although I couldn't find any details to identify the sculptor or verify my feeling it does look as if it would feel right at home sitting by the sea during Sculpture by the Sea on Cottesloe beach. Take a look here, would fit right in don't you think? Now that I come to mention it :) it's not long before this years Sculpture by the Sea.. are you looking forward to it.. I am! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..P.s. love the red and yellow kangaroo paws against the sculpture shimmering in the sun..
Where does it begin and where does it end, that's the question!
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to see your photos from that event. This work of art would fit perfectly there.
ReplyDeleteI agree it would feel at home there however it looks beautiful there as well. A bit more unexpected maybe.
ReplyDeleteThe circle looks great right there in the garden. On the beach? Maybe. I'll look for it in your photos.
ReplyDeleteI like it. It fits in nicely with the adjacent building, I think.
ReplyDeleteI really like it!
ReplyDeleteToday, here in Southern Ontario, Canada, it's an icy rainy slippery blowy blustery cold horrible nasty awful day, so your pictures of that lovely circular sculpture and the blue sky and the colourful flowers in the Aussie sunshine make me feel really happy and warm!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a gorgeous sculpture and yes it would look right at home among the other works of art on the beach. I can't wait to see what comes up this year.
ReplyDeleteYes, it would look very much at home at the Sculptures by the Sea. I'm certainly looking forward to some wonderful art.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful sculpture Grace. You could place this anywhere and it would fit in.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! It does remind me of a Funyun, though...you know, those crunchy little onion flavored goodies... :)
ReplyDeleteI suppose it is quite right that kangaroo paw do so very well in WA.
ReplyDelete...what a nice sight!
ReplyDeleteThat 2nd pic could be a postcard, Grace! I'm looking forward to the Sculptures By The Sea!
ReplyDeleteIs that a star gate to the future? Looks futuristic.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this especially how you've framed the 'kangaroo paws' in that first photograph. It's looks brilliant.
ReplyDeleteHope your week is going well Grace
All the best Jan
It's a different world than the one I woke up to this morning.
ReplyDeleteI like that quite a lot, and yes the flowers too
ReplyDeleteQuite modern and beautiful.

Oh wow it is beautiful!
ReplyDeletei really like it and all those colorful flowers! miss seeing color here!
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous work and would fit in nicely many places. My back yard, for example.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's just the kind of statue I like to stumble upon. You know I started using Pokemon Go just so I could find more information about things/places. I like checking out statues and artsy things while out and about and so far every single one is documented on Pokemon Go and has informed me countless times!
ReplyDeleteGlorious sculpture. Love the shine of it. It somehow reminds me of an anchor... suitable for the Cottesloe seaside setting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It reminds me of a giant Slinky!
