'White collar conservative flashin down the street, pointing that plastic finger at me,
they all assume that my kind will drop and die, but I'm gonna wave my freak flag high'
Jimi Hendrix..
Seen on the wall of The Acoustic Inn, Perth's only 'dedicated acoustic guitar store', next door to vintage guitar store The Rock Inn on Beaufort Street Mount Lawley. Super cool mural painted by Bolivian artist Pablito Ruiz, (Arte de Raiz - Pablo Ruiz Arroyo). Four of the greatest rock guitarists Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970), B.B. King (1925-2015), Stevie Ray Vaughan (1954-1990) and Jimmy Page. Pablito Ruiz aka Pablitosomething finds his inspiration 'in everyday life and dreams'. How about a bit of classic Hendrix and Page to play us out.. go on crank up the volume :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. could there even be a more apt mural for this 'all about guitars' position!
What beautiful colors! A most merry and Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteB.B. really caught my eye.

ReplyDeleteAll favorite musicians of mine. Nice colors on the mural.

ReplyDeleteWhat a happy sight!
Happy New year to you. :)
Rock on.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors!
ReplyDeleteGreat mural. I'm surprised the shop and the artist chose guitarist who seldom (if ever) played acoustic guitar. Great guitarists none the less though.
ReplyDeleteGreat for that location, Grace!
ReplyDeleteVery colorful and I like the vibrancy of it!
ReplyDelete...now that rocks me to my soul.
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the music coming from that wall.
ReplyDeleteAwesome mural!
ReplyDeleteRock steady!
ReplyDeleteCool mural! Every store should have so beautiful murals instead of standard adverts.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a wonderful mural. I also love that Hendrix quote. In fact, given our current political environment and I think may adopt that attitude and run with it.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sharon! Happy New Year, Grace!
ReplyDeleteAnother great mural, Grace. Shoot, we missed it!
ReplyDeleteThat colorful mural outside the shop looks great and bright.
ReplyDeleteAwesome clicks
ReplyDeleteBright mural...
ReplyDeleteMural fantástico.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e Bom Ano de 2017.

Stunning artwork but:
ReplyDeleteFour electric guitarists next to the Acoustic Inn? Very odd. Especially as Tommy Emmanuel (an Australian) is one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the world.
Cool mural! (I'll take the melodious blues sound of B.B. King over Jimmy Page any day.)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh... Stevie Ray Vaughan, wonderful! What a great mural. love the vibrant colours. Hope your 2017 is a year of good health and filled with things that make you happy.
ReplyDeleteSkvělé. Líbí se mně. Cítím tu hudbu !
ReplyDeleteArt and Creativity LIVE in Perth!
ReplyDeleteGotta love that mural. I'm a huge Stevie Ray Vaughan fan.
ReplyDeletewonderful street art and pictures!! ew
ReplyDeleteLots of fiery music going on even if Jimi doesn't look quite like himself. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural. And Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThat is one good mural, so colourful.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Now that's a way to attract people into your store! Selling your wares should always be this vibrant and enticing huh? Perhaps I should go and find some guys to come and paint the side of my storage warehouse with something cool like this too…
