Flop-dop up a tree!

What a funny pair of parrots dozing up a tree,
Two more flew in and then there were ..four!

A poet I am not :) Walking under the trees at Hillarys Boat Harbour I spotted two corellas dozing high in the trees, pointing my camera up to take some shots, no long lens unfortunately.. it didn't take long before the family of English visitors below came to see what was up! I know right, it's time to get back to the city :) Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe... P.s. if you pull the shots in you will see that despite the goings on below them, they really were flop-dop asleep :)

  9. They are quite beautiful and I would especially enjoy them from a bit of a distance. I've spent several hours recently cleaning bird droppings off from a new car! Aargh!!!!

  10. You live in such a sleepy place, Grace. That's what the summer sun will do. :-)

  12. Flop-dop? You made that up. I see some missing bark on the tree branches. I wonder what did that!

  13. I often think that corellas look as if their pink has been smudged on their white...like makeup done in a hurry. But still, they are cute birds. Love these leafy views of them in the tree.

  14. Those birds must have felt safe from the people on the ground, and if one pair is safe they were joined by a second pair. Great nature photos.

  16. Ah, I wish I had a sleep like that, Grace! Dozed a wee bit off here and there but was shaken away after a couple of minutes by either side, right or left. I hate flying, did I ever mention that? ;-)

  18. Astonishing. Nothing succeeds like a parrot, I often say.

  19. Delightful little birdies snoozing in a tree. I wonder if parrots snore?

  21. How I look forward to warm sunny days! The birds are probably happy too. here many of the birds fly to warmer countries, like Spain etc. when the autumn and winter is cold and covered with snow.
