The Human Condition...

First up let me say that j'adore the fragility of Perth artist Jodee Knowles style.. her work is 'heavily based on the human condition and the emotional state of mind that makes or breaks a happy existence' .. this piece found in Maylands exactly illustrates my state of mind at the moment.. headache wise it's been a nightmare but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel :) Based in Sydney for the last five years Jodee's work has gone international, I'll be looking next time I visit famille in Surrey Hills and Joe in Melbourne check out little Bourke Street! Hope your week is off to a good start, happy Tuesday, Take care and stay safe...

  1. Take it easy!

Her work reminds me of something out of a Tim Burton film.

  9. Sorry to hear you are not feeling your chipper self. My recommendation is go visit Amicakes for a nice cup of tea and a slice of her marvelous holiday fruit cake. Is that your recipe? That should cheer you up and perhaps make your headache go away. The lady in the mural looks quite sad, and a bit Goth.

  11. For some unknown reason the lady reminds me of the mean lady in the 101 Dalmations movie. Neat mural Grace.

  14. Well, the wall art may be a matter of taste. She kooks like a character from The Addams Family to me.
