First up let me say that j'adore the fragility of Perth artist Jodee Knowles style.. her work is 'heavily based on the human condition and the emotional state of mind that makes or breaks a happy existence' .. this piece found in Maylands exactly illustrates my state of mind at the moment.. headache wise it's been a nightmare but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel :) Based in Sydney for the last five years Jodee's work has gone international, I'll be looking next time I visit famille in Surrey Hills and Joe in Melbourne check out little Bourke Street! Hope your week is off to a good start, happy Tuesday, Take care and stay safe...
Take it easy!
ReplyDeleteHer work reminds me of something out of a Tim Burton film.
It´s a nice mural. The facial expression looks very real.
ReplyDeleteAwesome and great captures as always, Grace!! And, as always, thanks for sharing!! Hope your new week is off to a fun start towards the holidays!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with William, it does remind me of a Tim Burton like design. If you like you can link up in this weeks "Through My Lens". Link is below.

Skinny gal with big eyes.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very unhappy and I want to cheer her up!
ReplyDeleteI love this style too. I wonder if it's the same artist that we see postcards of here...
ReplyDeleteSo cute and nice mural.
ReplyDeleteI like it. Sorry to hear about your headaches.
ReplyDeleteYep, hope the headache clears, 'cause she's kinda scary. :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are not feeling your chipper self. My recommendation is go visit Amicakes for a nice cup of tea and a slice of her marvelous holiday fruit cake. Is that your recipe? That should cheer you up and perhaps make your headache go away. The lady in the mural looks quite sad, and a bit Goth.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Grace. This mural has such a distinctive look to it.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Grace! Take care.
ReplyDeleteFor some unknown reason the lady reminds me of the mean lady in the 101 Dalmations movie. Neat mural Grace.
ReplyDeleteThere is depth there!

Oh, I am so sorry to read that you are having another one of your bouts with headaches. I hope the storm ends quickly.
ReplyDeleteWell, the wall art may be a matter of taste. She kooks like a character from The Addams Family to me.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that headaches have been a problem for you Grace. A very fitting photograph. Thanks for the mention I your post. Please do get in touch if you are coming to Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteInteresting mural. I tend to get headaches if I'm around certain chemicals. Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI like it... and on certain bad hair days, I look a bit like that. Feel better.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better Grace. Luckily I never get headaches.
ReplyDeleteThis mural looks like a Tim Burton character.
Sorry to hear about your head. Get better soon - the weather is good right now. Take care & keep safe.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mural, Grace.
ReplyDeleteHope, too, your headache is over soon - I can´t even remember when I had one (knock on wood!)...
