Coffee.. with a side of salad?

Usually associated with alcoholic beverages 'happy hour' here in Perth can also refer to coffee. According to the Business Insider Australia at an average of $4.31 per cappuccino against $3.93 in other Australian cities Perth is the most expensive.. but if you read the article, on the plus side if you're into lettuce in a big way and who isn't :) Perth is the place to be! Tucked away under the stairs leading up to Trinity Church on St. Georges Terrace the inviting glow from Tartine Cafe delivers on it's promise of un très bon café! Happy Friday, take care.. p.s. how much is coffee in your neck of the woods?

  1. Coffee here in the northwest is pretty expensive, but I'm a tea-drinker, too, so that helps -- a little!! This is a great looking place though!! I'd love to have a cup of their coffee -- right now, as a matter of fact!! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Grace!! Enjoy!!

  2. Well, let's see...we don't call Starbucks "Fourbucks" for nothing!

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do love a good salad!

  5. Looks like a fine cafe, but afternoon is too late in the day for coffee. It's a morning drink. Right, who doesn't like salad? Grace, thank you for your recent comments on my blog. Appreciate those.

  7. I would be glad to join you here. I don't drink Capuccino, so I can't give you the price, but I do drink Starbucks coffee (black, "grande" or medium size) and it usually costs about $2. Coffee elsewhere costs less, but I like the Starbucks ambiance.

  11. Between $3.00 and $3.80, but it is creeping up. At times the price is not a good indicator of how good the cup of coffee will be. The setting for Tartine looks so interesting.

  13. Coffee is very expensive where I live. I usually only drink it at home, where it's much cheaper. If a place looks really inviting though, I'll pay the price once in a while. The place in your post looks like one of those places.

  15. And the other twist is that Happy Hour is between 11 and 12. Of course, it doesn't specify if that's am or pm so it could be a really big twist.

  16. Love the look of that place. But there are key ingredients of typical salads I can't stand - including lettuce - yeuch!! Rarely get a good cuppa tea out, but I drink coffee when travelling. On the motorway service areas in the UK it's usually between £2-3.00/cup. And sometimes it's OK... Have a great weekend.

  26. Hmmm.. Coffee with side of salad? That's interesting! Especially if you are using office coffee pods, 25 pieces for $12.50!
