Red in the city V... Legacy.

If you venture into the city on a Friday you have to be prepared for the charity collectors. I have no problem with this.. but it's a case of making choices which is not easy because they are all amazing causes. Today my money went, without hesitation to Legacy, a charity 'providing services to Australian families suffering financially or socially after the incapacitation or death of a spouse or parent during or after their defense force service'. Wouldn't you think that the world had had enough of wars, by the state of current world affairs it would seem not! My other donation went to a man needing train fare, I felt that if I could spend $4.70 on a coffee, I couldn't possibly refuse :) Here's hoping that you have a fab weekend, spring rain here in Perth yay! Take care and stay safe...p.s. Bill has some colourful creatures to see!

  6. Sounds like a worthy charity!
The coffee looks delicious and it reminds me of a TV Series/Travel show called "The Great Italian Cafe". The host was a guy from Melbourne who toured cafes all over Italy and then he ended the series in Melbourne. I have to admit I was a little envious of his job. Maybe he could start a new season in Perth. :-) Also, I happened to notice the reflection in the coffee cup.

  14. These guys look like happy chappies. And with so many of us against war, wouldn't you think we could overwhelm those who do want war.

  15. You are right about the war business, don't not what is going on in the world at the moment. People never learn something from the past....

  19. You'd think our governments would do a better job of supporting families who've lost someone in a war! OKAY, I'll get off my soapbox. At least people like you step in to help fill the void.
