Tatt's ok.....!

Reflected in the windows of The Brass Monkey on James St. Northbridge, the 'colourful' side of town, The Tatt Shop has been around for thirty years and is one of Perth's premier tattoo studios. I wonder how many inebriated men.. and women, have woken up with a little everlasting surprise in the most unexpected spot :) The sleepover last night was fun, movies and ice cream (lot's of ice cream), not enough sleep but now feel sure my youngest will be safe and happy and still just five minutes away! How did you all feel when your youngest 'flew the coup', bit of a wrench oui! Still playing catch up, will get there soon.. have a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe. 1. I once contemplated a tiny little tatt but, then the saner side of my brain kicked in. Have a great weekend.

  2. Yes, I did the same thing that Sharon did! My three youngest gave it some serious consideration, but one glance at the look on my face and they changed their minds -- all three of them have thanked me for being a grumpy old mother as they've seen a lot of the "not too cool" results of some peoples tattoos! Great, colorful pic for the day!! Hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend!!

  5. Splendid reflection, Grace!

I don't think I could bring myself to get a tattoo.

  8. I like the bright color. Tattoos loose their shock value when even grannies wear them, used to be something sailors.

  9. No tattoos for me, but I find them interesting on someone not related to me. (Glad Aimee's move has gone well.) Hey, she is five MINUTES away. Mine is seven time zones away.

  10. Very vibrant reflections Grace. It's tough when the youngest flies the coup. I like to think we have done something right when the pick up sticks and go as it means we have imbued characteristics of independence and strength. Ciao J.

  11. You do seem to have a preponderence of RED in your photos ... what a shame you've never taken up my (still open) offer to be a RED Alert guest on my blog!! Happy New Year!!

  12. I thought the tattoo craze would be over by now. Guess that investment in tattoo removal parlors was a bad one.

  13. Glad the sleepover was fun! You're very lucky she's only five minutes away, you know. I have to hop on a plane to visit my youngest. Yes, it's gut wrenching when kids move out...but it gets a bit better over time.

  14. What?! Over here if you want to get a tattoo you have to "sign in" to make sure you really want it! Two weeks later you can get it. Whereas in Australia you have to apply for a marriage 1 month and one day in advance, here you can marry straight away. Weird, Grace, non?

  15. I think I still have a while before my youngest leaves home. My oldest, 5 years, does enjoy going on sleepovers with her best friend though!

  16. Where I live, tattoos and piercings are so commonplace that nobody gives them a second though anymore. We have five kids and all have flown the coop. Not too far away though, so we like it! Because we are away from home so much, we asked one of them to move back in to watch our place and our pets. She did and it freed us up to come and go as we please. We feel very lucky on all accounts.
