Straight out of the camera.. the sky really was that blue.. not even the hint of a cloud! On the way home yesterday I stopped at
Trigg Beach to see if there was anyone crazy enough to be down there on a 39C day.. it was around 2.30pm and yes there was a scattering of swimmers.. Trigg has a 5/10 (moderately hazardous) rating so it's always good to see the reassuring presence of the
Trigg Island Lifesavers. If you want to warm up your 'cockles' and chill like a beach bum :)
check out the action here for five minutes and transport yourself onto Trigg Beach.. maybe next week when it'll be a little cooler. I only lasted five minutes before I hot footed it back to the air conditioned car! Send me some rain
p l e a s e!! Have a fab Wednesday, take care.....
It feels hot! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteYou need some good old fashioned snow!
Oh, WOW!!! It does look HOT!! Wish I could send you some of our cooler weather!! It's sunny with blue skies, but only in the 40s! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteIncredible contrast with the weather outside my window this morning--sodden clouds sending down snow at a rate of some 1-11/2" per hour with winds out of the north at 12mph and temperatures plummeting into the teens. Hard to even imagine WANTING to run back to my air-conditioned car. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great warm photo. It was -17 F here last night, and may get all the way up to zero today. Ah, life's a beach.
ReplyDeleteFunny how photos can depict if the time was cold or hot, your photo ooses heat
ReplyDelete39C is a bit too warm for me although I have experienced 44C in Greece a couple of times. I'd be in the water all day here if I could!
ReplyDeleteWith 39C this can't be snow :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful white sand on this beach, love it !
Woaw! THIS is what I call a blue sky!!
ReplyDeleteRain?! We had two months of rain in two days last week-end, so you can have as much as you want..
HOT!! That photo does look HOT. Unfortunately, There is no rain in the desert here to send you way. I'm betting that the sand on this beach was too hot for barefoot walking.
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh, I can feel the heat glowing out of that shot! Fab and intense scene, even though I know it's more comfy viewed from a distance:) Stay safe and cool, Grace!
ReplyDeletewow , what a beach, what a see ! and what a temperature :-)
ReplyDeleteI dream of it ! but we have to wait for many months to get the summer ! :-(
Rain? How much do you want?
ReplyDeleteI bet that sand is too hot to walk on. Looks fantastic! I posted some snow for you :).
ReplyDeleteSending you virtual rain with a side order of cold and frosty morning. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOuch, my feet are burning! Hope it cools down for you! How does humid 5° sound? :-)
ReplyDeleteRain? You got it! I hate the heat also, but our entirely temperate winter feels a tad chilly this year....age? Yikes!! ♥. Aloha
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful but too hot I am sure as that would be 102F. We are at 33F now with light snow falling. We need to trade places for awhile!
ReplyDeleteIt is a terrific contrast between the bluest blue and the sandiest sand.
ReplyDeleteBTW, when I have time for a significant interaction with a subject, I give them a card so they can check the photo out if I post it. I also often get their email address so I can send them a photo or two directly if they want it. (I did that with Zoe, today's subject.) But, JoAnne, the birthday girl, was hurrying to a restaurant with her friends, so that was a fast photograph without much interaction. She doesn't know she was on the blog yesterday.
ReplyDeleteIt's no fair so it is!!!!
ReplyDeleteMagic sky.
ReplyDeleteRub it in--it's freezing here! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous, Grace, but too hot for me! Loved your pics of the brewery yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHot or cold a beach is better than work.
ReplyDeleteAnd just WHAT do you think you were doing? Out in the heat when I told you not to!! At 2.30!!!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the heat to bitter cold!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo! That is one pure blue sky!
ReplyDeleteThey beach is supposed to be a place to cool off at. Nothing is worse than (to me anyway) than a blazing hot day at the beach.
Hehe, I haven't heard aye caramba for years. I can see the heat radiating from the sand.
ReplyDeleteThe density in that blue sky is amazing. I'll do a rain dance for you Grace.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful beach and boy can they surf in that video. I never know how they don't crash into each other. We need rain too.
ReplyDeleteSitting here with all my woolen clothes in the cold ....... makes me happy to see your posting.
ReplyDelete(Not that we ever will get +39C.... :)
Thanks for sharing.
it's slightly cooler in Adelaide, where I came for a few days. Hope it's cooler by the time I get back to Perth...
ReplyDeleteWe're experiencing a Polar Vortex - frigid weather down from the north. I don't think I want to trade with you though. ;)
ReplyDeleteFantastic cool shot! the sky looking looking amazing...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a hot summer day in Florida. I don't think you're going to get much sympathy from those folks in our northern climes, though. :) One nice thing about the weather - if you wait a while, it will change! Just stay out of that hot sun until then.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I sit in minus-temps under an ever grey sky... Can´t we mix, Grace?
ReplyDeleteaww I'm so envious! This beach is a paradise, perfect sand, perfect sky, perfect and delicious energy there!
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture!
Léia
Oh, right now, I need the sun and the feeling of my back warming up under a blue sky……It's not quite snowing here yet, so I can't really complain but the heat that is coming through your photo is lovely. Thank you! Merci beaucoup.
ReplyDeleteThat blue is intense !
