My favourite shot.. this year!

Do you ever take a shot hoping that when you download it will translate into the image that you saw in the frame? That's how it was with this one for me. It's a reflection of the new Old Brewery (?) in the old Swan Brewery.. are you confused :) I think it's worth enlarging to see the details. The painting is by Scottish born John Campbell sometime between 1896/1924, his way with colour is exceptional don't you think.. and then there's a bit of an arch 'thing' going on.. I don't say it often about my own shots but I really like this one, hope you do too. Have a fab weekend, we're in for a hottie here in Perth so will look forward to seeing some snow scenes please :) Click here to see more reflections from around the world.....

  1. Oh, I like that one very much, Grace! The colour in the painting itself and the detail works beautifully!

It's snowing and cool here today, if that helps.

  15. I have huge white snowflakes floating down past my window ... again. We have had so much snow and cold this year that it is not something I am treasuring at the moment. But that I could , I would send it to you:) Your picture is a delight and no wonder you love it. Everything just fell into place. It is beautiful. 32. You are justified in being proud of this photo, Grace. It is beautiful.

I am often asked if a photo I took was good, and I always say I won't know until I get it on the computer and can see it up close. Fortunately, there are usually more happy surprises than disappointments.
