This is what Aimee saw while walking across the Horseshoe Bridge from Northbridge into the city on her way to work early (7am) on Thursday morning, the shot below is from her office on the 13th floor, the tops of the skyscrapers were mysteriously enveloped in a thick blanket of fog, caused by the higher than usual humidity levels, somewhere in the 90% range at that time according to the Bureau of Meteorology, seriously uncomfortable! Thanks for letting me use these super shots Aimee. Hope you have a good weekend, it's a busy one for me here in Perth..thank goodness for painkillers haha! Take care and stay safe. p.s. thanks so much for all the anniversary wishes :)

Smashing shots, Aimee :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd happy anniversary, dear G!
Aloha
Ah, Aimee did catch some terrific, foggy shots!! An anniversary, Grace???? Sorry I'm late!! Have a great and HAPPY one!!
ReplyDeleteWhat struck me about the first shot, other than nice fog, was the architectural contrasts. Delightful! I really like the fog in the 2nd shot.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated anniversary. I've been really busy and not blogging as much as I would like.
When I was working in Chicago, I used to see fog like this quite often. I always enjoyed it. It make things seem sort of mysterious.
ReplyDeleteVery nice atmosphère....
ReplyDeletePierre
Ick to that humidity! But wow it made for gorgeous shots! Love the tops of the buildings just fading away. Gorgeous and hope you have a relaxing weekend too (take care of the back!:)
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful skyscrapers (and I bet they are all occupied). Both photos are fantastic. Winter is approaching, me thinks.
ReplyDeleteIt's like low clouds! Enjoy your weekend, Grace! ;-))
ReplyDeleteMysterious....ethereal!!! Lovin' the look. Have a good weekend:)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool shot! 90% humidity sounds unbearable. Happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteVery moody shots, Aimee! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lowell... the stark contrast in architecture really does stand out.
I don't associate Perth with fog. I like that there can be tall buildings and historic and proportioned streetscapes kept.
ReplyDeleteThey look quite spooky don't they? Nice captures Aimee!
ReplyDeleteNot many skyscrapers in my home town, but I have seen this elsewhere and it is very strange. You got some very good pictures of this phenomenon...
ReplyDeleteI trust Aimee's office was air conditioned while she looked out on the humid air outside?!
ReplyDeleteI 'mist' all that! Slept in 'till 8.30, left house at 10am!!!!! Great shots - ditto for yesterday. Have a good W/E & take care of that back.
ReplyDeleteMorning fog always has a hint of mystery about it/
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! I love fog.
ReplyDeletewow impressive foggy!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful pictures, very well captured!
Léia
Fog makes interesting eerie photos.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same phenomenon here this week!very unusual and very disturbing for southern people !!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll have a nice week-end, dear Gracie!
I heard about this on the radio on my way to work (not in the city), nice to be able to see what it looked like.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday Grace. Have a great weekend.
I am surprised to see you have some other weather types too than the bright sunshines.
ReplyDeleteNow, could they go away forever?!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering how high they are ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Grace!
That's a lot of humidity. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThe mist shrouding the skyscrapers is so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteTwo amazing shots Grace, really took my breath away!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow ! Your second photo is amazing....they really are disappearing.
ReplyDeleteBon dimanche à toi !
thanks, Aimee ... and Grace, get thee to the doctor!!!!!! feel better soon xo
